Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams — Restaurant in Charlotte

I am not one to complain but the website for this company is so many pop ups and just misleading for anything. I drove across country from Chicago 2 days ago...I am trying to relocate went and got dinner. My best friend from middle school, which is like 30 years lol, said try Jenis...so I went out and talked to the employees who were super nice...but they don't offer pup cups...EVERYWHERE in Chicago and Denver where I lived did...but okay, so I asked for plain vanilla, she said the had vanilla honey...not ideal for a diabetic pup but I would just do a spoon at a time. So I ordered it...almost $50 later I unpack, nothing my pup, no vanilla anything. I suffer from anxiety and depression and my pup is best friend. It really bothered me her treat wasn't there, I would rather she had hers and I didn't get 3 pints and cones. But again the website was terrible to address my issue. I won't lie the 2 of 3 little scoops were delicious, and my buddy was right. And the employees were fantastic service wise. But having a website to try and address an issue...for my pup...no. I drove 15hrs almost straight she deserves better. I even had ordered her a plain chicken breast from a steak house on our journey. So Jenis great taste at least of the 2 of 3 pints I tried for people. But for my pup and best...

Best ice cream ever!🙌🏽🙌🏽 My family and I have been to all Charlotte locations, and this one is my favorite. Plenty of parking when hanging out with all the extended family. It is in the middle of a wonderful shopping center, so you can go shopping or have a meal in a great restaurant and then head ove to Jeni’s for dessert. 😉 This is the kind of ice cream you can have a lot or a little of without it being boring, overpowering or losing its magic 🍧 All their flavors are so well crafted. They offer no synthetic flavorings, less sugar than your average ice cream shop and the depths and layered flavors are so beautiful even someone who doesn’t like sweets would enjoy it very much. 😃 I love ordering their 2 half scoop in a waffle cone. You can enjoy two great flavors without eating too much—not that there’s such a thing as too much Jeni’s ice cream. 🙃 There is nice outdoor seating and some games to play with family and friends. I love how polite and fast their service is. There’s usually a long line nights and weekends but it moves fast and sometimes they’ll have someone come to take your order while you wait so you’ll simply pay and receive your order sooner. They’ll also have their menu posted every couple of feet so you can decide what to get while uou...

This is an ice cream shop right? Not exactly rocket science to make this work. We can only imagine the ridiculously high pricing is to pay for all the wasted labor built into the current design.

5 people working, however 1 person is responsible for taking 100% of the orders, coordinating pickup on all orders, dealing with any service issues and extra requests, and also getting people tastings. After the order goes in, 3 people quickly turn out the food, and then stand around waiting for the next order, while the person up front is still taking another order and trying to find where people went, to hand food off.

Imagine building a factory where the finished product passes back through the raw materials area in order to be sold.....makes zero sense, and severely slows down work flow.

Please add a dedicated pickup window to eliminate 90% of the wasted movement. One of your scoopers can work this window. Forcing customers to wait 20-30 minutes while we watch workers standing around waiting for orders to be placed, is painful and not service focused.
