I love Jeremiahs, just moved here from Orlando. My 6 boys and I love your Italian ice. Never have I ever encountered a rude person...until last night at Riverbend Village in Charlotte. In a family friendly environment the manager that closed on 6/16, Rita.. is by far the rudest, (non-customer friendly demeanor) employee I've ever encountered at any of your locations. I've been to A LOT in Central Florida. When we first came in, 6 minutes before closing, My fiance and I were in line. She didn't speak or say hello how are you all doing The first thing she said with a rude military style voice was "I need you all to move over there behind this lady I try to keep order in this place & I don't like people blocking up this area". Then the lady that she told me to stand behind told me her son had already ordered. So as I'm standing waiting in front of the cash register Rita came and stood in front of me still haven't even greeted either one of us, and It's just standing there not saying anything to me so I tell her what I would like to order. She takes her pointer finger and leaves it towards me and says "I'm not taking your order" then took her finger and pointed towards the other young lady and said "she'll be with you" with an extremely rude attitude. I used to be a customer service manager at Walmart, And it's no way that I would have ever acted like that towards a customer. I've never given a customer attitude I've never given off the demeanor that I didn't want to be at work and I'm never given off the demeanor like I didn't like my job. My interaction with her is by far the worst I have ever encountered with anyone in any of your locations in North Carolina and in Central Florida. The young lady Kennedy was on shift that night and she was very nice, very friendly and very sweet. Her voice tone made you feel as if she enjoyed her job and wanted to be at work, Even though they closed in a...
Read moreUsually fantastic, we are regulars to a point its unhealthy (20x this year alone lol) but mothers day service was awful. We went in twice once after lunch, a little after 1:30 and waited in line for about 10min and when we got to the register we went to the open register and was ignored then the other register opened up and ignored by Rita (assuming the shift manager) as well, we attempted to let them know we havent been helped but that was ignored as well. Our baby started getting a fussy for a bottle so we decided we'd come back after dinner and hoping there was a shift change since we were ignored.
Fast forward to 8pm, doors were locked even though they close at 9 and you had to knock to be let it. Doors were being locked by the name mentioned before and when you were let in it was apparently not what shift manager wanted because, theyd get frustrated and "if i dont lock the doors ill never get out of here" which was whispered to another employee and overheard by customers, and she let all customers know to keep the lobby doors locked because everyone has to be out in less than an hour, essentially rushing customers.
Again this place is fantastic and usually love the service and staff but this one time just felt wrong and mainly writing for the owner to see what customers heard, because the ownership of this particular spot has always made me feel welcomed even saw me park right at closing and she left the door...
Read moreI went to this location twice last week and would advise customers to wait a few months to go until the team is more comfortable with operating a brand new store. There is still a lot of training to be done.
During both of my visits, the dessert was delicious but the associates filled the cup way too high. It is guaranteed to melt fast and make a mess in the store, outside, in your car, or wherever you eat it. The store’s tables and floors are scattered with cookie crumbs and chocolate chips due to the product overflowing. I bought two desserts on my second trip to bring one home for my husband and ended up throwing it away because it melted all over the store’s table in a few minutes. If you do visit, I would recommend asking for your dessert in a cup one size bigger than what you order.
My second visit also had a checkout disruption, where it accepted my money for the product but the associate could not get my reward QR code to scan or print a receipt to redeem the purchase for reward points. That was 15 points I should have earned that they were not able to award to my account.
I live adjacent to Riverbend Village and have been excited to see all the stores open up, but Jeremiah’s has been my first and only disappointment so far. If you’re in the mood for ice cream and want a choice of flavors and mix-ins, I would recommend Freddy’s Frozen Custard right behind this...
