Manhattan Bagel — Restaurant in Charlotte

This review is not about the food or the ambiance because I never even got the chance to enjoy either because I had accidentally ordered from this manhattan bagel in charlotte when I had meant to order from the one in vienna, VA. My glaring issue with this establishment is that they stole my money by not issuing a refund when I immediately called after the order was placed and told them that it was the incorrect location. The first worker I spoke to on the phone told me that they would cancel the order on their end but clearly that was false. In addition to contacting this restaurant, I contacted ChowNow as directed by the manager of the Charlotte location, Fernando. ChowNow told me that the restaurant was the one that could issue the refund, not their service. I called back the restaurant and in attempting to secure the refund, Fernando told me that upon receiving the receipt they made the order immediately which is not true because I called immediately after placing the order and was told that they would not prepare the order. Fernando told me that I would not be receiving a refund and to call them back later to discuss the details of what happened. I was unable to connect to Fernando when I attempted to call back later that afternoon. Basically, his telling to call back later was a cop out and was a way to tell me to screw off and not give my money back despite the obvious mistake. I cannot stand when customer service fails to stand up for what it is meant for and I am severely disappointed that my money was stolen. Horrible customer service and a day ruiner. Update: Inconsistency with food quality. So the last time I ordered from here the food was good but my recent purchase was VERY disappointing. The bagels were stale and very cumbersome to chew. The bacon was fully cooked and the Danish was not the danish that I ordered the last time it was a complete different Danish. It looked like a frozen food Danish that they popped in the microwave, did not look like it came from a bakery at all. I have updated my rating to reflect my experience. I believe in consistency and quality and I was disappointed.

FINALLY! I’m from nyc and these are definitely nyc bagels! 100%. I have been searching for a good bagel and these bagels took me back home. The cinnamon raisin bagel was DELICIOUS! Just the right amount of sweet. It was soft and perfect texture. Haven’t had one that good in a long time. I loved the spicy cream cheese. The bacon egg and cheese croissants was yummy and so was the danish. I really enjoyed this spot so much. So glad to know there are nyc bagels in Charlotte. Would not serve me with out a mask even after I told them I have a medical disability. This place is ok with violating your rights, stay away. I will be filing a report.

Your staff did not offer any accommodations nor did they tell me that any other options were available. They told me to leave the store. As you are probably aware under the ADA it is unlawful to refuse service due to a disability. I would highly advise letting your staff know that they need to make customers aware of available accommodations and not to tell them they need to leave and they will not be served. As far as "strictly not allowing people in with out masks" there were people in you restaurant eating with out a mask. Discrimination against people with disabilities is disgusting and I will never return to your store and I will advise as many people as I can to do the same. A report will still be filed for civil rights violation.
