I had a busy morning that started at 6:30am and I still needed to get some breakfast. It was 3 hours later, fast approaching 10:30, and I was hungry ... hangry even. I also know & understand that lunch menu starts at 10:30.
So, I pull into the McDonalds parking lot and see a little bit of a line. I get in line and I place an order on my phone app, as I always do (love those breakfast points).
My order is placed at 10:26, my payment goes through, and now I'm just waiting on other folks in line to move along. The young lady in the car directly in front of me orders her breakfast sandwich and drink, at 10:28.
We sit in line and I'm finally able to pull up literally 5 seconds after my phone says 10:30am. I give them my 10:26am mobile order code and I'm told that they can't give me my food because they just switched to lunch. I protest, they're adamant, so I pull out of line, park my car, and go inside to talk to the manager.
I placed an order well before 10:30, my payment has been accepted. It's not my fault that the line wasn't moving more than one car every two minutes. "Sorry, we can't make your food, just your orange juice." (Note: "can't make the food", that'll come up later) So I tell them I will be contacting corporate and writing this review, and then I go back out to my car.
Imagine my surprise when I'm back in my car and I hit the "cancel order" button in the app (since I was denied my order) and I'm told by the McDonalds app that my order cannot be canceled, because it's "already being prepped." The app says that I should go to the location and get my food. Ugh!!
I go back in and show them the app that says that the food is being prepped and that I should pick it up, and they tell me that it's not being prepped and I can't have it. But "the order on the app will be automatically canceled after 30 minutes." (To be fair, at this point they do offer me a free lunch, but by now I've basically lost my appetite anyway because I'm so frustrated. I wanted the sausage and eggs that I ordered, not a hamburger.)
They literally can't be bothered to put together the food that I ordered and paid for and give it to me, but they'll offer me other free food instead??
So much for customer service.
P.S. - It's an hour later now, and the charge for the food that I was denied is still "pending" on my credit card.
TLDR; The app doesn't mean a thing, you've got to be physically at the microphone before 10:30 to get your breakfast; and don't expect any customer...
Read moreI've been to alot of McDonald's an these people don't know what they're doing. They got my order completely wrong. I got all the way back to my parents (which is 20 minutes from there) an realized it was wrong. The one time i didn't check. So i go back an stand there for 5 minutes before i have to ask a girl if she's a manager, she was. I told her my order was wrong an she asked me what is wrong with it an i told her everything, she asked if i have my receipt( rudely by the way) an i gave it to her. She gave it to someone else an eventually told me he would take care of it. So another 10 mins goes by an im seeing all these other orders being filled. I should have been first since i had to come back. I've got over an hour with drive time an standing there like an idiot. So i finally get it all an u would think they would at least offer an apology an maybe a cookie or something since i wasted alot of time an gas dealing with this BS. NOPE. I've been a long time customer but im done with this place. Food isn't even good anymore. I actually stopped going there for along time when i seen all kinds of videos of staff treating the less fortunate ( HOMELESS PEOPLE) really badly an kicking them out and or refusing them service. Im really sorry i started going back. Id rather starve. This place really went down hill an it's movin fast. Im not one to complain but this is ridiculous....
Read moreWasted literally about 45 minutes of our lives at two McDonald's 1 in Lansing near i-96 and Martin Luther King boulevard the other in Charlotte Michigan in Lansing. we got in line and went to order the ordering equipment didn't seem to work at all we never could hear anything nobody ever talked to us but we continued in line merged with the other traffic from the other one, hoping that even though we didn't order we could still order where you pay but we never even made it to the window to pay because when we were one car away it never moved again we were there a total of about 27 minutes and 20 minutes of it was waiting one car behind the pay window and it never moved no explanations we're ever given so we just up and left we went to Charlotte McDonald's there I have used the drive thru many many times it has one of the best records of any McDonald's that I've ever gone to in regards to drive-thru but not last night this is about 11 at night we were there about 20 to 22 minutes literally we did end up getting our food and people were polite we even received one apology but my food (a Big Mac) was just slightly warm and not very appealing. All together it was the two worst experiences I've literally ever had in my life out of perhaps a total of maybe three hundred times through a drive-through probably more in the 45 years I've been...
