Mi Barrio Halal Latin Grill — Restaurant in Charlotte

This is truly unfortunate...being this place has REALLY tasty food. Firstly, there is a sign posted on the door that reads something to the effect of 'No Mask, No Entry', as expected, being it is mandated by Mecklenburg County. However, my food server DID NOT wear a face mask, gloves or neither a hair net while serving hot foods from the open air style food bar. And got a lightweight attitude when asked to please put on gloves!!!

Secondly, this particular food server, she looks to be in her mid to late 50's in age. I witnessed her collect and bunch up fallen rice from the counter and between the various other pans on the bar with her bare fingers and simply sprinkle it back into the large rice serving pan. Thank goodness, I do not eat rice!

What is more unsettling, she appears to be either the owner or someone close to the owner. I understand now why the restaurant have a (90.5) health...

Delicious food but customer service could use some work. I placed an order and paid online and when I arrived at the restaurant 20 minutes later they didn’t even have the order. One of the employees had to call someone on the phone to find out what I ordered. The lady assisting me couldn’t speak or understand English very well and ask me to speak with the person on the phone. After 5 minutes they finally found the order even though I provided my receipt and order confirmation number. The young lady I was working with seemed very annoyed and was mumbling under her breath the entire time. After they found my order I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for them to prepare my order. I ordered a turkey wing meal and my husband ordered the fried chicken meal. Again, the food was delicious so I would give them another try however I will never...

Well let me just say that this place is AMAZING!!! EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE, PRICES, RESTAURANT HOURS,HUGE PORTIONS, YUMMY FOOD!!! I have been stay in Charlotte for over 10 years and I never knew of this place until this past Friday!!! I am a personal cook myself and am very particular about my food and seasonings. Nothing is cooked with pork and everything has so much flavoring!!! I’ve sent some of my family members here to taste it and their all hooked now also lol. I’ve went there for the past 2 days and I’m going back again later today for dinner lol. I’ve ordered Mac& Cheese, collards, cabbage, cornbread, turkey wings, rice& peas,oxtails and EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!! No complaints!!!
