Update - Found out Ann is no longer with Potbellyâs. WHAT A LOSS⌠she is such a class act. She made the experience better at one of my favorite CLT eateries. Back to the basics again with the same ole same ole low energy, non-smiling crew. Oh well, time to search for better, again. Potbellyâs Mgmt DO BETTER!!! All 5 stars go to Ann from Trinidad purely because of her consistent performance and behavior. I stop at this Potbellyâs, frequently along with other restaurants in CLT, however, Ann has consistently shown to be a class act with her top-tier customer service and communication skills. Her emotional intelligence in understanding her customer is what caught my attention. Whether itâs a mom with crying kids, a foreigner whose English is subpar or an elderly couple, I have noticed her ability to handle each of these customers respectfully with empathy, kindness and patience, AND STILL get the orders taken efficiently and keep the line moving. And lastly, her SMILE. It is so welcoming. I donât think people understand how important and powerful a smile is and how it can help define a personâs dining experience. But Ann gets it! Btw, I noticed no one else was smiling, but it didnât matter cause her smile was more than enough. Oh yeah, the food...

One girl said she was going on break, had the young guy on cashier move over to make sandwiches, obviously he had not been trained. Did know how to wrap the sandwiches. customerâs sandwich in front of me I saw him wrap several times and actually balled up sandwich paper to start over again, while other sandwiches were backing up on the conveyor. When he got to my sandwich I said let me make it simple just a little mayo and a little lettuce. Had to repeat myself as well and than I watched him struggle wrapping the sandwich. I managed a restaurant over 20 years and I know how difficult the public can be, I honestly donât write reviews usually but had I had this crew I would retrain or have a supervisor on staff with them. A couple of them I may have fired for interrupting a co-worker while they were assisting a customer. It was ridiculous had I had more time I would have canceled and went to another place. Another point people in an airport do always have time for foolishness. I will avoid Potbelly next time I am in this airport. 03/28/22 between...
Read moreWe had a 3/5 experience at the Potbelly Sandwich Shop at Charlotte airport prior to our flight. We had arrived a couple of hours before and headed to Potbelly with not a lot of expectations, since itâs airport food.
There were a fair amount of people in the queue but the staff was trying their best to keep the queue moving.
We got the Tuna Salad Sandwich and the Veggie Melt with Chicken with some toppings. The sandwiches themselves tasted decentânothing extraordinary, just good enough to qualify as decent airport food. The sauces were bleeding out of the sandwiches when we took them out of the bag, so make sure to get enough napkins in case that happens.
Theyâve a wide range of salads and sandwiches along with shakes and other drinks, and the sufficient seating nearby ensures you can dine in conveniently too.
It took us around 10-15 minutes to order the food and check out.
I would recommend Potbelly at the Charlotte airport if youâre hungry and looking for above average...
