Let’s start with how Mr. Keith B welcomes everyone at the lounge first:
Mr. Keith: Good afternoon, are you on the list and we called you? Me: No Mr.Keith: well, there is a 30-35 minutes waiting list, would you like me to add you to the list? Me: F…. No, and did start to walk away. Mr. Keith: Have a nice day and next time come in you better wash your mouth…. He continued to talk but I didn’t understand what he said since I was leaving the lounge.
5 - 10 minutes passed then decided to go back and get my name on the list.
Got back to the lounge and here we go again:
Mr. Keith: Good afternoon, are you on the list and we called you? Me: No, I just want you to put me in the list. Mr. Keith: Oh yes, you are the one who cussed me out. Me: I did not cuss you out, I just said F… no, I didn’t cuss at you, I just want you to put me in the list please. Mr. Keith: We do not use profanity in this airport and I’m not going to put you in the list because you cussed me out. Me: Excuse me, I just want you put me in the list. Mr. Keith: I’m not going to put you in the list…… Me: Would you please put me in the list. Mr Keith: No! I’m not going to put you in the list… Me. Ok, then I got my phone out and snapped a picture of him… Mr. Keith: Sir, I’m kidding I’ll put you down… Me: I’m not kidding, then I left.
There is couple of suggestions I have for this place:
1.- If there is a waiting time, this is 2024 there should be a notification in the Priority Pass app about waiting times for lounges, because this has happened at other lounges as well and sometimes we walk from terminal to terminal to find out there is a 30-60 minute waiting time period.
2.- Traveling is not as pleasant as it used to be, so, having a person telling customers to go wash their mouths doesn’t help to the bad day the customer might be having especially if their flights are being cancelled or delayed. I understand is not the host fault if the place is packed full, and NOTHING justifies the use of bad words, for which I apologize and it was never my intention to cuss at him.
3.- Hostesses need to be more friendly, and hostesses need to start with apologizing for the longer waiting times at their lounges then proceed to say what they...
Read moreTraffic delays between Hendersonville and CLT are sometimes a nightmare, so decided to arrive way early and did not have a lot of confidence in the many reviews from some other lounge areas. I went ahead and made a reservation for Club CLT hoping it would not be a mistake. It was not. With my reservation (I got the impression most guests are walk-ins) I went right in. One of the gals at the check in desk gave me a quick rundown of the facility. They were rather busy, but it was not overly noisy and I was able to sit in one of those giant "chairs" near the back. There were mini tables where you could put a little plate and glass for a bite to eat. I'm a vegetarian and was pleasantly surprised to find a nice assortment of fresh salad ingredients, along with a couscous dish and a fantastic corn salad. There was also warm penne pasta Alfredo with peas, which was pleasant. Several people seemed to be enjoying a soup and were having some kind of sandwich which may have been a breaded chicken patty in a biscuit. There was a coffee and tea station, and a display of apples and bananas. I saw a cooler with an assortment of juices as well. There were a couple of little desserts in a case, I seem to remember chocolate cake as one of them. There was a bar, but since I don't drink alcohol I can't give any specifics. There were quite a few small tables and chairs throughout. I was impressed with the number of staff that were mopping the floors, wiping down the salad bar, constantly removing used plates, and maintaining the restrooms. They were all very pleasant as was the man who was running the food service area. Was it worth the $60 fee? That depends on your situation and preferences. As a female senior citizen traveling alone and not really wanting to sit for over two hours in gate seating, it was...
Read more"Disappointing Experience"
My recent visit to The Club at CLT was unfortunately a deeply disappointing experience. Several factors contributed to this negative impression, leaving me feeling frustrated and underwhelmed.
First, the food offerings were severely lacking. The plates were incredibly small, more akin to appetizers than substantial snacks or meals. This issue was compounded by the fact that hot food was only served by staff, but staff were often nowhere to be seen, or the hot food itself wasn't readily visible. This led to unnecessary waiting and frustration, as guests were left wondering what, if anything, was available. The variety of food was also extremely limited, making it difficult to find anything appealing, especially given the small portions.
Even with time limits and waitlists in place, the club felt perpetually overcrowded. This overcrowding significantly diluted the entire lounge experience. Finding a seat, let alone a clean table, proved to be a major challenge. It felt like a constant struggle just to find a place to sit and relax, which is the antithesis of what one expects from an airport lounge.
Adding insult to injury, the food was not restocked efficiently. This issue exacerbated the already frustrating situation, as most guests had already endured a 30-45 minute wait just to enter the lounge, only to find limited or unavailable food options upon arrival. The inefficient restocking meant even longer waits for food, compounding the overall negative experience.
In short, my visit was a depressing experience. The combination of small portions, limited variety, inefficient service, and persistent overcrowding made it a far cry from the relaxing and convenient oasis one hopes for in an airport lounge. I would not...
