Summit Coffee Ballantyne — Restaurant in Charlotte

I come to this location almost every Saturday and consider it one of my favorite coffee shops in CLT. Today I placed a mobile order for 5 drinks. When I arrived, the last drink was just being finished, so I began checking the cups to see which was which, but none were labeled. I asked one of the baristas for clarification, and was taken aback when she responded, “We’re too busy right now, I can’t help you with that.” I could tell by the look on her face she wasn’t having the best day.

Not only did this come across as dismissive, but it is certainly part of the job to label drinks or at least inform the customer which is which as they’ve done before. I work in hospitality myself as a bartender/server, I was also a barista and I would never say that to someone. I appreciate the other barista that apologized and told me that shouldn’t have happened so I let it go and went about my day.

WOW!!! I walked in after not visiting for a year because of life and… too much caffeine for me! Ha!!…. But wait… Marisa recognized me and remembered me!!! She is sweet, patient and kind!! She is a gem 💎 and I’m grateful to know that people still care like Marisa at Summit Coffee in Ballantyne!! (Charlotte, NC). The coffee is tasty and strong!!! The carrot cake and blueberry muffin…OH so gooood!!! The service and atmosphere are fun, fresh and inviting….. I came to warm up in the cold and left with a smile!! 😃 Marisa made the difference!! People matter and kindness goes a loooooong way!!! Thank you Marisa!!!! I appreciate you!!!...

I was only here one time because I was escaping Hurricane Milton, but it was nice. I had my dog, and there were several outdoor eating spots. I ordered a vanilla latte and my husband got 4 shots of espresso. Both were exactly what we wanted.

For those who live in the area, they have a runners club.

Interesting side note, they serve a limited selection of beer and wine. They also have some merch if you wanted a T-shirt or beanie or bags of coffee.
