I made an Open Table Reservation for 3 in which is the limit required. The parking is quite interesting here, tight, and very particular. Maybe because it's free and the guys that's directing you are strict and have a bad sense of direction. I arrived at 5:00pm with my 2nd party and was asked to wait until the 3rd party arrived. We all arrived at exactly 5:15pm which was the time booked for the reservation. They completely ignored the reservation request because they asked us where we would like to be seated which had already been selected on the booking. Then we get seating directly in the beaming hot sun with the LOWEST patio chairs that didn't equal up to the table height. The hookah girl was quick serve us but had an attitude. The hookah was $25 at happy hour price (originally $40) and it came out to $32 because tax + GRADTUITY. We get it and she didn't even pull it to test it out before giving it to us. We tried it and tasted nothing but coal... not the actual orange mint flavor. It took her forever to come back to fix it after getting both waiter and server to get her attention. Mind you, there is a 2-hour limit of sitting for your reservation. The HH margarita $5 drinks were all watered down and served in small plastic cups. Their $5 single lamb chops were bomb but small. The $1 for each chicken wing deal were decent. After we got our food and literally ate it within minutes, we were still hungry. The server never came back to check on us nor gave us any napkins. Again, we had to get the guy who cleared our plates to get her to come over to try to order something else. By the time she came, she thought we never got our food because the table was cleaned off. Not even caring to ask did we need anything or how was everything. When she said that, we immediately asked for the check and was over it at that point. It was just minutes until our 2-hour limit was up anyway. We even witnessed them asking people to leave their table due to their limit being up. That seems to be what they paid attention to the most. Needless to say, whatever you want to experience on TikyTok "for the vibes" should STAY on social media. It was giving ATL uppity vibes kinda like Kitchen and Kocktails. Charlotte is waaay to reserve and don't need that type of energy. All I can say is, that was a one-time experience. You want to be strict but service wasn't servicing. I'm surprise our bill only came to $64 and that's with 20% gratuity which is added to all bills. All together with the hookah was a lite $100. Black customer service MUST do better in the Uptown area because NC Tavern and Sofie's Steakhouse on the University side...
Read moreThis was honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a long time. From the moment we got there, it was a disaster. We were told there would be a 30 minute wait, so we went to the bar and got drinks. The drinks were okay at best. We got green tea shots that were super small and tasted more like juice than anything else. The bartenders were the only people who actually gave us attention the whole night, so shout out to them.
About 45 minutes pass and we are still not seated. We had been first on the waitlist for a good 15 minutes. I look around and see multiple open tables. People who came after us are getting seated with their hookahs already set up. I go to the hostess and ask how much longer and she casually says, “Oh I was just about to text you.” That alone set the tone for how unorganized and careless this place is.
We get seated and the table is dirty. No one comes over for at least 20 minutes. I finally have to get up and ask someone for a server. Other tables around us were being helped while we were just being ignored. The girl I asked turned out to be a hookah girl and had to go find someone else. That’s how unclear everything is. The actual server who finally came up to us had the worst attitude. The first thing she said was, “You were asking for a server?” Like yeah obviously. What else would I be doing?
We try to order food and hookah. The server tells us we should have told the hookah girl earlier. How were we supposed to know that? There was no explanation of how anything worked. When the hookah girl comes back, she tells us they do not accept tap payments. We did not have our physical cards so we passed on it. Five minutes later she comes back and says her manager says tap is fine now. At that point we were already done. We did not want to spend another dollar there.
The food comes and to be fair it was actually good. That was the only positive part of the night. But after eating, no one came back. We waited about 25 minutes and eventually had to get up again and go to the front just to ask the server to pay. She was standing there talking with her coworkers like we were not even there.
This was hands down one of the worst service experiences I have had in a long time. Disrespectful attitudes, dirty tables, no communication, and absolutely no effort to make guests feel welcome. It is a shame because the food was good but everything else made it not worth it. I will...
Read moreWouldn't go here again. Went here for a friends birthday on a Saturday night and we made sure to have reservations. Even with a reservation we didn't get seated until 50 mins past our reservation time ! We kept complaining to the host who was seating people.. her response was “nobody wants to get up”. Not our fault, we have reservations as well. As we're waiting, in front of me, two of the hostesses were conversing, saying there was one group that they didn't want to tell to get up because that was " so-and-so people".. smh this is why there is no tables. We're holding tables for people just because they know somebody who works there. THEN once we finally get seated, we walked over with our drinks that we purchased at the bar because we were waiting so long and the waitress said “I don’t make any money with you buying drinks at the bar. I’ll just wait and come back when y’all are done with those”.. WE WAITED ALMOST A HOUR TO GET SEATED ! Our group actually bought two drinks and a shot each within that almost hour before getting seated. Again, not our fault The waitress wasn’t able to make as much money as she would’ve if we got sat down at the time of our reservation. We’re then sitting for about an hour and 10 minutes before our waitress comes over and tells us that our specific table is reserved for someone and we had to get up. I told her no, we didn't even get seated until almost an hour after our reservation time. She left and didn't come back to our table for a while, but because of her attitude, we stayed for about another 15 mins before we decided to actually leave because of the poor customer service. Not to mention the food was stale and cold. Before my friend, even decided to have her birthday here, I let her know about all the mixed reviews that l've already heard about this place from word-of-mouth and TikTok. The poor service and wait times, wasted money on food.. she still booked and we regretted even going.
I honestly, believe that because they automatically charge 20% gratuity for everything the waitresses do not care about the customer service that they give.
Wouldn't recommend going here for an occasion even with a reservation. What a miserable experience to have on your birthday.. and if you do you may have better luck going with just 1 person and pray you get a...
