Graham St. Pub & Patio is a solid stop for an easy and enjoyable (not rushed) lunch. Every time I've entered this place, I was uncommonly instantly greeted to start off the lunch time experience. I've been served by Chelsea each time at Graham St. Pub & Patio regardless of being seated at the bar top or at a table. Chelsea is somewhat of a phenomenal do-it-all superheroine that's seemingly a blur from all of the wind sprints she does to tend to all customers under her watch. Not to dismiss or neglect any of the other staff, but I can only name-drop and highlight those that I've interacted with at Graham St. Pub & Patio. In short, it's a well-run establishment that I'll be visiting again soon enough.
The posted photo is the Philly chicken "cheesesteak", which isn't really a cheesesteak, but more in-line to what I was looking for in a sandwich. I have yet to have a bad experience here. The food comes out in a timely fashion. Again, a solid stop for an unrushed and relaxing 1-hour (or longer) lunch. The place does get a bit busy at night on the weekends, so that's another good sign that others are in the know of the greatness inside Graham St. Pub & Patio.
...11 months later, there's not a single reason to step inside this place without Chelsea being there. Service has taken a backseat with a new focus of talking to co-workers rather than tend to customers. I refuse to channel my inner Oliver Twist, asking for more, and begging for service. Instead of staying out and paying for $9 generic NC beers, I walked across the street and served myself from my refrigerator. Imagine how much more money was lost last night due to terrible service on a not-so-busy night. I'll light my money on fire before walking...
Read moreTo all the Aboriginal and Indigenous people of america, this place does accept you in their establishment after applying for a business license to do business on your ancestors land.
They would not accept your National Identity Card even though U.S. Dept of Justice 1508 specifically mentioned identification documents 18 U.S.C 1028; Says that National Identity Card is how one establishes their identity. And is a superior form to a drivers license.
They required a driver's license to enter their establishment. When it clearly states that a drivers license is to show that one is authorized to operate a vehicle upon public road. They then said you need a passport. Why would a American National need a passport on his or her own land and a National Identity card is being provided? Anyway, after providing a passport that clearly says its issued out of Washington, DC, and has the country its from on Diplomatic page, they then said, "i dont recognize it, it has to come from a country and it has no stamps on visa page." Really? I didnt know Graham Street Pub was a U.S. customs port or this MANager was a customs agent. Security ask for passport and when its provided, there is another issue.
I even went as far as to show them the law verifying it. But they refuse to read out of ignorance. I see that as nothing but discrimination. There is no law that says this establishment cant accept my passport because you cant or refuse to read as a individual.
IGNORANCE OF THE LAW...
Read moreFood and drinks were good. 3 star review is due to restaurant being extremely unorganized. When we first got there on a Sunday evening, we waited at the hostess table for a couple minutes before anyone showed up and we decided that we must have to seat ourselves. Since the bottom floor was busy, we went to the rooftop which was not too busy at the time. After getting menus from the bartender, we ordered food no problem but were told the cocktails we ordered from the menu are not served upstairs but rather at the downstairs bar. We decided to switch to a couple of common Charlotte beers that were also on the menu and were AGAIN told that they only serve the beers we ordered downstairs. At this point, we chose to move to the downstairs patio, which had waited tables, but was never approached by a waiter despite sitting at the table, and also having our food delivered to our table. The food was good but there was a lot of unorganization. Why are they providing menus at the upstairs bar with drinks they don't serve? Based on my experience and reading other reviews, why is there a hostess table if they don't even have one? Again, the food and drinks were good but it almost felt like we were bothering people to try and get anything. Hopefully they are working on these issues as they do...
