Tremont Kitchen + Bar — Restaurant in Charlotte

If I could give 0 stars I would. Have been a regular at this bar and now will never return. When we first walked in we told the hostess we had four people. She said “we don’t have a wait list”. We asked if we sat ourself when a table became available. She rudely told us no. So we said we would wait by the host stand for when something came up. We waited 55 minutes while watching people that came in behind us seat themselves and also get seated by the hostess. We asked several times after waiting 30 minutes why we weren’t being seated when people that walked in behind us were seated before and were told “they were here first” It’s embarrassing when a table looks at us and says “we are leaving and you can have our seat because we have seen so many people steal tables while you were waiting first”. So we decide to sit down with them like they said, and a lady who walked in behind us yelled at us saying it was her table. All they had to do was look at the video footage of us walking in at 6:37 and everyone else walking in behind us. A “mental note” for a wait list is ridiculous on a Michigan game night with many people waiting for a table. As a restaurant critic I am extremely disappointed in the way this business...

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Hands down one of the best spots I’ve been to in a long time! The drinks here are out of this world — the Key Lime shots are to die for and honestly worth the trip alone. You can tell the bartenders know what they’re doing; every drink is perfectly balanced and full of flavor.

The French dip was incredible — tender, flavorful, and cooked just right. You can really tell they put care into their food, not just the drinks. Everything came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor.

The atmosphere was awesome — lively but still comfortable, the kind of place where you can hang out with friends or even come for a casual date night. The music and vibe fit perfectly, and everyone seemed to be having a great time.

The service was also top-notch. Friendly staff who actually seem happy to be there, quick with refills, and always checking in without being overbearing. You really feel taken care of.

Overall, this place nails it on every level — amazing drinks, delicious food, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Can’t wait to come back soon and bring some friends with me!

Not a very good experience. We walked in and nobody acknowledged us, we joked that we must have been invisible. Once we were seated it took someone 20 minutes to come over to get our drink order. We ordered our food at the same time since we were able to view the menu (we had to share because she only gave us one) for so long. I ordered the Tremont Burger, and it came plain with just lettuce and sauce (no cheese, tomato, onion or pickle like the menu stated). For my side I ordered waffle fries and was brought sweet potato fries. If I liked sweet potatoes I would have just kept them but I really don't and asked if I could get waffle fries like I ordered. She finally brought them and they were cold. My husband ordered the Lobster Grilled Cheese and said it was just OK. We really wanted to like this place as it's walking distance for us, but we'll...
