Wendy's — Restaurant in Charlotte

The good thing i can say about this Wendys is that the establishment looks nice and clean as well as the staff is friendly.

We went to this Wendy’s on 9/15/19 around 11pm. The line was long and didn't go by fast. I ordered a Homestyle Asiago Ranch Chicken Club, a spicy chicken go wrap and a Chocolate cookie frosty sundae with chocolate ice cream. (side note My friend always emphasizes to use chocolate ice cream so i did the same). We got our food and left. I got back to our apartment and a few bites in i realized they had given me the Homestyle Avocado BLT Chicken Sandwich. I wish i could have just ignored the mistake to enjoy what i had but i really really dont like avocados. I went back and had to get in an even longer line. This time moved even slower. It took about 15 mins for 5 cars to go through. I played a phone game so the wait didn’t bother me. The guy at the window was SUPER nice about messing up my order. And had me order in person at his window. He made sure to say the order to the cooks over his mic right in front of me and he said the order correctly. Then offered to throw in free fries and a drink or whatever else i wanted. I didnt want fries or a drink so I asked for another chocolate frosty cookie sundae but with extra cookies this time just cause im addicted to cookies. He said in order for it to not be messy he would give me a bigger cup and basically double the cookie and icecream. AWESOME! This guy deserves praise for bringing character to a fast food restaurant. He called himself Candy Cane over the speaker box. (Im sure you know who he his. I hope he reads this review. Thanks for being great candy cane.) So i got my giant frosty cookie sundae and a remade sandwich and left again. I again did not get a receipt because there was no transaction. When i got back to the apartment, i took a bite into the sandwich. ANOTHER Avocado BLT. AND the cookie sundae was vanilla. Like i said, ill give this store some points for the friendliness, but as far as accuracy on orders, its almost comical.

There may have been a long but with as slow as it was moving, im guessing there was 1, maybe 2 cooks on duty and making one order then taking payment. Then taking the next order.

Ps. The picture of the sandwich looks super gross because i tried to scrape off the avocado but it didnt turn out so well. I couldnt get over the taste. Then i put it in a fridge over night. Im about to throw it away. The sandwiches have a good presentation when initially delivered. I will be back and will expect a free homestyle asiago ranch...

This is one of only two drive through fast food resturants near where we live. It is the inly one open late. There have been several occasions when we have been hungry late at night and gone to this Wendy's drive through. Everytime we have had a bad experience. I will only share the top two worst visits. #1 We arrive in the drive through. We wait. 4 mins go by...we drive to the window. A young man is there. He takes our order and seems very upset about being at work. We get our food and drive forward. My husband hands me my food. There is ranch on mine and I ordered it without. We go around and reorder. The sandwhich comes back to me "fixed". I check it. They had literally wiped off the ranch and gave me the sandwhich. We go back around to the drive through. No one is there. We see the kid and the manager have exited the restaurant and are in the parking lot talking. There is no one else working! We wait and wait...finally the kid comes and 10 minutes later I have my refund and we leave...hungry....(they had also given my husband my homestyle and me his spicy chicken, which we never even addressed with them) #2 Tonight.....we arrive at 1am. We sit at the drive through. We back up and go through again..drive around, look in the windows, no one in sight. We go around again and sit...no one...we go to the window again and its open. A woman is walking with a mop pail. We call out," Hey, are you guys open?" She says what do you want? I cant remember the name or number so I ask if we can go to the menu and order. She says yes, let me put on my headset. So we go back around and I order...NO RANCH. We go to the window and get the food. We pull forward to check. Ranch...we drive back around no one answers..we go to the window..no one...we go to the drive through again...no one answers..we go to the window and bang on the glass until a kid comes to the window. We tell him the problem. He will fix it.....the frenvh fries taste super weird and are really dry, but I am afraid they will spit in my food. I almost cant eat it when he brings it back for fear...we leave...the chicken is dry. I throw it all away at home.

Now I realize this place was closing in an hour, but why was no one available for almost 10 mins to take our order?! We wont be going back. I love Wendy's, but this is the...

Wendy’s Wendy’s... Over the years I have been to this location many times and with no issues. However last evening I was sincerely disappointed. It was a little after 9pm and I used the drive through to order a Spicy Chicken Sandwich. That was it, no drink, no fries. There was only 1 car ahead of me so the wait was no problem. After ordering I pulled up to the very first window and was there for 30 to 45 seconds, the person in front of me at the 2nd (pickup) window pulled away so I moved up. I got to that window and the young gentleman handed me my sandwich in a bag per usual. I was surprised by this because I had not paid yet. Another young gentleman walked up and said “he hasn’t payed yet”. I had my debit card in my hand and handed it to him. He turned away saying absolutely nothing looking disgruntled. A few seconds later he handed my card to me. I paused for two seconds and I said to him.. Receipt? He rolled his eyes and then begrudgingly pulled the receipt from the machine and handed it to me. He had no plans to even give it to me. So OK no big deal. I was hungry so I started to eat the sandwich on my short drive home. This was the driest, (and it was Dry!) smallest breaded chicken breast I had ever received when ordering this sandwich. It had hardly any taste to it. I was shocked because that is why I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich because it has more flavor. At this point I was already exiting the Stonecrest shopping center onto Ballantyne Commons. It was about 915 and I was not going to turn around and drive back through The Labyrinth that is the Stonecrest parking lot to ask for another one. Very...
