Greetings to those who are reading this! Wanted to take a minute to express my thoughts about my visit to the Yafo/Dilworth – East Boulevard location. My wife prefers this location for the kind and helpful staff that are working at this spot. SouthPark team was a bit unfriendly to her – Attitude! – She’s sensitive – so what can I say. We live in the City Park section of Charlotte – It is truly a food desert. Anyways – 2 Thumbs Up – This is truly the spot if you want to get your “Fix” of Israeli/Mediterranean food. The Schnitzel is crispy and delicious; - Just like you would find if you were visiting Tel Aviv. My wife typically picks up from this location several times per week; - We have “Incorporated” Yafo into our “Dinner Rotation” – We are two working professional and just don’t have the time to cook. I personally am well versed in Israeli Food ;-) “Shalom Habibi” – Just tried the Falafel yesterday and was truly amazed at how delicious it was. Thank G-d for Angel Pita! – Looking forward to trying the Steak/Beef; - Just haven’t gotten around to it. I understand that they have a Brunch and serve the famous Israel Brunch – Shakshoukah – However, I can’t confirm this and it seems that different options are available at different locations. Anyways, the Dilworth location can get busy; - This is great – as it seems that food is moving quick and things are definitely fresh and well prepared. Israeli’s are loud people and that seems to be the case @ Yafo; - Staff are alive and active – Shouting out orders. This may be the South; - but – you are definitely stepping into Israel when you walk into Yafo – So, don’t be afraid to assert yourself. Where am I going with all of this? The food is fresh, authentic and delicious. I tip my hat to Shai Fargian – Who is without question a Culinary Genius; - Shai, “Habibi” – you have really duplicated the experience. Well done! Would avoid ordering from Yafo, via Doordash or any of those “Lazy” Services – Best, to come in and experience it. I believe my wife was introduced to Yafo from their generous sponsorship of an event in the Charlotte schools. Anyways – A+ - OMG, how could I forget. I want to send a special “Shout Out” to the Dilworth Team – Especially, “Athena” & “Vanessa” – Thank you for being so kind, accommodating and patient with me this week. I’ve been a bit slow, being that I was not expecting this “Greatness” that I walked into, while recovering from Hand/Elbow Surgery! Toda Raba! - ליהנות מהארוחה שלך

This review is for takeout only! We placed an order online on a Saturday night. It was a pretty big order, and when we called asking if they could label the bowls with each person’s name, they were happy to do so. Great customer service! We did the Build Your Own, which start at $8.99. With the add-ons, it definitely adds up very quickly. For my grain bowl, I got jasmine rice, hummus, diced cucumber, diced tomato, purple cabbage slaw, sumac onions, mediterranean pickles, kalamata olives, chickpea and roasted red pepper salad, and feta cheese. I also added the cauliflower with tahini and Brussels sprouts with dates, both for an additional cost. For my protein, I got the pulled rotisserie lamb. I’ve also had the shawarma chicken, and out of the two, I definitely prefer the lamb. It has more flavor. All in all, it came out to be $17 for my bowl. Everyone else really enjoyed their bowls. My sister got the falafel and said it was delicious. For sides, we got rotisserie potatoes and greek yogurt mac + cheese. The potatoes were not worth it. The mac + cheese, however, was AMAZING. Moral of the story is that it’s pretty expensive, but you can get 2 meals out of it easily. The ingredients are fresh and it’s so tasty. You definitely don’t need sides, but get the mac + cheese.

I found this gem a few months back when I first moved to Charlotte and have been a loyal customer since. My favorite menu item is the 'create your own bowl' option which usually ends up lasting me for two meals because of their large portions. They have a large selection of fresh toppings, sides, and proteins, and everything tastes so good and authentic all at a great price (~$15/bowl with chicken, falafel, and cauliflower give or take) - life hack: use the pita bread they give you to make a falafel and cauliflower sandwich with their garlic sauce. SO GOOD! The service is also great! The employees are super friendly and patient. They also offer a rewards program that they don't really advertise at all, so make sure to ask when you go in so you can start earning some points! The one thing I wish was they offered was nutritional information! Regardless, as long as this place is around, I'll be there. Go check it out for yourself!

Ive been meaning to put this review up since I went and Ive been back multiple times but I've been very busy but it has always stayed on my mind I went to Yafo with a open mind not really expecting to much because I'm hard to please but alot of time I can be downright difficult to a fault I got the sabich with chicken it was really good but was made this experience worth me giving my time to actually review it was the staff especially 3 specific worker forgive me if I get your names wrong Glen I think he the supervisor or manager but he was so polite, respectful, and helpful also seemed to be a amazing leader then there was 2 server one a african american guy with dreads I he is the line supervisor he was at the beggining of the line he was so polite and respectful as well also gave me so much information but didnt overwhelm me with choices he even helped me make my protein choice while still at his end of the line by giving me prices substitution options because of my peanut allergy while simultaneously letting each team member know to change gloves without me having to let him know to which that is the 1st time I've ever not had to and everytime I visit he seems to be there mourning noon or night and has that same great energy to go with a smile on his face but still works very hard and helps everyone then there was Russel he is just amazing no if ands or buts about he has so much energy and truly is the most helpful employee in there and he is a supervisor he does the regular employee work as well as being a great supervisor manager IDK for sure I can see from the few other times I've came he will be a store manager these 3 gentlemen have been and will continue to be the reason i come to Yafo kitchen THANKS...

This location is awesome. I placed an online order for a family pack meal which totaled about $60, and the time I’d set for it to be picked up got reset somehow from 8:15pm to asap, so the order was ready at 7pm, which I was already at the gym, so when I got the notification it was ready I was like “dang, it’s not going to be warm, but oh well, is what it is.” Well I get in there about 8:40 because it’s already going to be cold so I ran into Harris teeter to get some items (ironic right?), and somehow the staff had mistakenly given my order to someone else. I had proof that I was the one that made the order, and I was not the person that picked it up, so they were confused, and a little frustrated because it was ready so much earlier than when I arrived, which, at the time I was kind of disappointed that I was given a marginally hard time for showing up so late. Again, wasn’t my intention, but also not my fault that they didn’t verify that the person picking up the order had any confirmation or anything. The manager or assistant manager had to ask me the same questions a few times to make sure they weren’t being taken advantage of, but I understand why, and eventually they agreed that it was on them, and they got me my order ready in less than 10 minutes. The food is always awesome, and it was again this time. This is the first minor inconvenience I’ve had with any of their locations, but this location has always delivered solid food with better attitudes and customer service. Thanks folks for...
