Ellie's Country Club — Restaurant in Charlottesville

I came here with a whole group for my sister's bachelorette group. I wish I could rate higher than 5 stars because THEY WERE AMAZING! Definitely make it a stop if you are in town! When we arrived we had already visited 5 bars and wanted to find a good atmosphere and some dancing. The bartender took requests for songs and we got the party started! They made the night unforgettable and even the owner Ashley danced and took pictures with us! Ashley has made the bar look Pinterest perfect and the music kept the night alive till we shut the bar down! We did not get any food as the kitchen was closed when we got there but the drinks were fairly priced. Biltmore 2.0! So much better than I expected! It just opened and is super clean and bright. I almost didn't go in because I saw that it was no longer the Biltmore (a favorite hang out when I was at UVA). But I am so glad I gave this place a chance because EVERYTHING we ate was delicious!! We tried every taco on the menu (happy hour special) and they were all amazing so I can't even tell you which was our favorite! We also got the fried chicken sandwich and it was so good! Coming from Richmond we can be food snobs so we were surprised at how much we enjoyed eating here. We will definitely dine at Ellie's when we visit...

Amazing happy hour deal! Monday to Friday 4-7pm with deals on drinks and food. Tacos only $3 during happy hour and the brisket taco is so good. The totchos are only $10 during happy hour, we always share and still take some home! Also recommend the cherry limeade and day drink.
