Food was good. BUT, beware. Three women in my group total. Time of visit was mid afternoon-1:30ish, on a Tuesday. No one else in the restaurant. We almost didn't go in because they looked closed. They were open and we were seated at a booth. We all ordered a margarita on the rocks. The waiter brought them back and announced they all had a double shot of tequila, which we hadn't asked for but thought that was nice of him. 3 hours later we are still at the restaurant and have been laughing and giggling and having what we thought was a wonderful time. A few patrons had come and gone while we were there and they did stare at us strangely. Fast forward two hours later and I am noticeably sluggish and have absolutely no desire to do anything. I was in Costco at the time because on the way to Charlottesville I knew there were things I needed to pick up before going home. I couldn't remember what I needed to buy. But I was getting extremely thirsty. I bought a soda from the cafeteria and filled it with soda water from the soda machine. I downed it and filled it again for the ride home. Halfway home (while driving) I feel a little dizzy, but am able to make it home safely. Once home, I couldn't stand to talk to my husband and had to sit because I felt I was going to pass out. Meanwhile, I had gotten a horrible headache and took ibuprofen but it didn't even touch the pain. I lay down and get horrible chills. My heart beat starting racing for about 30-40 minutes. I do not do drugs. But in the morning, after researching on the internet, I believe I was drugged. Three days later I am still sleeping all day, apathetic, and without an appetite.
PLEASE BEWARE! This could have been a deadly visit. Keep...
Read moreI'm giving them 3 stars because their service is really great! The wait staff was attentive and very nice. Their chips and salsa were good as well. I ordered the cheese enchiladas with a side of refried beans. The beans were good, but the enchiladas were not. They were surprisingly not hot enough (temp wise) which surprised me because usually at Mexican restaurants the plates are so hot you can't touch them, so the cheese was solid which is really gross. They were also drowned in the sauce. I mean they were literally swimming in the sauce! I could have used a spoon and eaten it like soup, also gross. I'm not sure how a restaurant can mess up cheese enchiladas? But they sure did...I feel like cheese enchiladas are a real basic staple of Mexican food, as are refried beans. I've made cheese enchiladas and refried beans at home many times and got great results. So maybe the chef was having a bad day? I hope that was all is was because if they can't make basics like these, then there are other...
Read moreThe reviews on here must be written by employees! HORRIBLE PLACE! We were the only customers there and it took the waitress 10 minutes to come get our drink order and menu. My husband is disabled by strokes and has a hard time talking. She got irritated with him and made another waiter take over! She was so so rude! Then when we got the ticket, the waiter gave us the ticket the waitress wrote our order on and wrote $75 on it! For 3 people! I said wait a minute, I want a receipt Printed with our meal and prices on it. Again, he tried giving us a bogus receipt. So I made him go thru the menu with me of what we ordered and he finally brought us a printed receipt, turns out he was overcharging us $15 to try and pocket the money!! HORRIBLE PLACE!! And the food was not worth the hassle!! Would NEVER recommend this place! Oh, then they tried talking about us in Spanish, until I loudly mentioned we were fluent...
