I am so glad I used these fine ladies for my engagement ring. I cannot say enough good things about the entire experience. Being a young, sloppy bachelor type, I had no idea what I was looking for and was very afraid of being taken advantage of. I do computers and cars, not jewelry. My lady IS very special to me, and a little off the beaten path, so I really did not want to get her something that looks like it came from the mall (either of them, lol). Eventually I decided on Formia Design, based on a referral from one of my customers. I spoke with Mia and Joan for a few minutes on several occasions of the idea I had conjured up in my head, and they were able to hone in on an absolutely perfect design. After each sketch, I kept adding in little extra designs, stones, etched into what was ultimately a beautiful rose gold band. I'm sure I drove her nuts, but Mia stuck with it and produced an absolutely AMAZING ring. I held onto it for an extra two months from the intended proposal date just so I could show people and brag about it. The price was very fair I learned, after showing some of my friends who are more educated in the matter. Anyway, I highly recommend Formia Design for any of your jewelry needs. I cannot recommend Mia's work enough! I first came to her with my inherited antique diamond ring that for years would come loose in the setting every few months. Another jeweler I had been using previously would simply tighten the prongs each time, but it was stressful to have it come loose literally every 2 to 3 months and have to get it fixed again. I took it to Mia to see if she had suggestions for a more permanent fix. She explained how the setting wasn't the right size for the diamond and she picked out a better one with me. She reset the diamond with a 6 prong instead of of 4 prong setting, keeping it as true to the original design as possible, and it turned out absolutely wonderful. It looks amazing and I finally can wear my ring without fear of it coming loose.

I also got my wedding bands from her. She made a custom pattern of wood grain on my husband's hand that he wanted and it looks amazing.

Seriously go to her for any custom work you want done, on older pieces or new pieces. She gave us jewelry that will last the rest...

I am struggling to find the words. Mia fulfilled a decades long dream for me today. I am a science fiction/fantasy author. A special pendant is described in my books. It is an alien frog-like creature sitting on a leaf. I've had a sketch of this pendant for many years and I've wanted to have it made into a real pendant. I've tried several times without success. Then, I saw a clip about Formia Design on "I Want That'. I was intrigued and wondered if they might be able to make this dream a reality for me.

So, I contacted them. I wanted something slightly different than what they normally do. I wanted this piece to be layered so the creature is actually sitting on the leaf. We had some back and forth discussions about it and I put my trust in Mia.

My pendant arrived earlier today. I cannot believe I am actually holding Vitora's pendant in my hand. It looks absolutely amazing - right down the the genuine emeralds in the eyes.
