I have debating writing this review for awhile. The start of my experience with Seal with a Kiss was truly wonderful. I had a fantastic time picking out my dress and felt so comfortable with Jessica and the staff. However, after I paid for the dress I felt like my experience really changed. My dress was estimated to arrive in early October and I was trying to coordinate flights to have my mom visit, which I had shared with the manager. My dress got stuck on an intense back-order, which wouldn't have been a huge deal however they would not communicate with me. I had to keep calling and felt like a crazy bride because they never took the initiative to contact me (my wedding was also destination so I needed my dress much earlier anyways, which added to the stress of the back-order) I am sure they were working hard to get my dress but some communication would be a nice step in customer service. Lastly, I was mostly disappointed by my alternations. I was truly in love with my dress and it is no doubt that they have lovely dresses! However, after spending about $450.00 for alternations the train on my dress was a mess! The slip showed the whole time and popped out of the bottom so badly. Three different times with different groups of ladies we tried to retire the train to look good, however to no avail the EXTREMELY expensive train looked awful. My slip shows in most of my wedding pictures and I am truly so sad about this experience. The shop has amazing potential and some of the most lovely dresses I have seen. However, I would not recommend their seamstress and would love to see their commicatioms with brides grow, you have enough pressure as is and your dress shop...
Read moreI called this shop because I was going to be traveling in to see family and wanted my in laws to see me try on dresses and be apart of the dress process. When I called they were more than willing to get me in even after hours which was great!! I had my dress appointment for 5:30-6:30pm. I had the appointment with Sophia. I felt so great about the shop until I walked in. The lady looked at my group of girls like we weren't suppose to be there and didn't really greet us when we walked in.
Plus when we walked in we thought we walked in to her changing her clothes because she was in an outfit that looked a little inappropriate for work, but that was the least of my concern.
As I sat down she asked me what I like I explain multiple things and then she was rude and asked me if I have already looked at dresses. I said yes I went to one place and found one that I liked but I wanted to look at more to be sure. Long story short- she was rude all through the appointment. At points she did put a smile on her face like she was warming up but she didn't.
She said limited words and wasn't fun to be around. When I was looking at myself in the mirror she was checking herself out(fixing her hair and clothes). The whole experience was ruined because I felt like my party was down in spirt because the lady was just blah. Plus, anytime I asked questions about a dress or if she knew if they could change something on the dress she knew nothing and said that she would ask.
I just wanted to find a dress with my girls but it didn't happen, which is fine just wish the lady was nicer. The only okay thing was that they had some dresses that were cute but couldn't get past...
Read moreThis shop does not understand the value of customer service. My wife had to order an expensive "designer" bridesmaid's dress from here sight unseen (the bride made a last minute decision since the order time is 3 MONTHS!!!). Over the phone they told my wife that dress size x would be good since she tried on a very similar dress in that size. My wife, being cautious ordered one size up just in case. The dress arrived 3 weeks before the wedding and the size was completely wrong. It was also made very poorly and was already tearing at several spots along the seams. Instead of trying to help us fix the dress or find a new one they were quite rude, and blamed it 100% on my wife even though they advised us that ordering over the phone would be "no problem." The BEST they could do was give us $15 worth of fabric for "free" and charge $50/hour to remake the dress as best as they could. After much debate we came up with an alternate solution and never altered the dress in any way, but they refused to take it back for a return. Please avoid this place. It isn't worth the...
