Cville Escape Room — Attraction in Charlottesville

We had such a fun time!! The employees were so accommodating when I accidentally booked the wrong date for the room, I would have had no idea but they called me to inquire when I was late to the original time I’d booked so we could update the reservation for the time I thought I’d booked. The room was difficult (in a good way!), creative, and connected to itself in such a fun way and I was so appreciative of the extra time they gave us since we just had a party of two. All of the employees were so friendly and helpful, it was certainly an afternoon well spent and we will definitely be back to play more rooms in the future! I cannot be more thankful to them for the grace and flexibility they showed me, the mistake was 100% my fault for not reading properly and they had no obligation to change anything around me but I’m so...

Disclaimer: I have not done any other Escape Rooms and I'm commenting solely based on my experience at Cville Escape Room. I've done two rooms so far (Sherlock and Archaelogist's Adventure). Both rooms were quite detailed, seemingly authentic, creative, and fun. One definitely has the feeling of being in another world and on an adventure. That's all great, but I'm specifically writing this review to also point out that the people who own and run the place are super nice and want to make sure you have a good experience and are usually willing to be accommodating, as needed. We celebrated a special event there and they were very nice: blocked off the last two spots in the room and left us a special surprise to celebrate the occasion. I had never been to an escape room before attending this one, and my first time was not a disappointment!

My partner absolutely adores puzzles, so I decided to reserve a few dates for us to tackle rooms together - first as a group of four, then just my partner and I. Despite our lack of experience, the staff were incredibly patient, allowing us unlimited hints and extra time, which is seemingly something they always try to do in the event that a group is struggling to finish their room.

They were very patient when explaining the rules and ensured that everyone in our group knew that they were safe and could be accommodated while “escaping” at just a moment’s notice. Their puzzles were so much fun! I highly recommend this escape room in particular for anyone...
