One of the most delicious vegan pho I’ve ever had! I used to eat vegan pho at a completely vegan Vietnamese restaurant in RVA, but unfortunately they closed. So, this was an exciting find on my visit to C’ville. You walk up to the front window, place your order. If you plan to dine “in” they’ll bring it out to you while you sit outside. There’s a bell at the side of the building to alert them that you’re there for pickup - assuming you probably ordered online?! The pho was delicious and flavorful. They ran out of sprouts, but i hardly noticed. The ingredients were fresh, and you can tell that love was one of them. I requested cilantro and jalapeños. When you have jalapeños, you really don’t need the extra hot chili oil sauce. I didn’t have to use it. Btw that sauce is apparently house-made. No surprise, as the sweet owner (?) greeted me while I was eating outside with two friends I just made. I also had hot chai, and it was delicious, especially on this cold afternoon. That was where the stars dropped for me. It would have been perfect if there was a warm post of some sort nearby to help with the cold temperatures and the uninvited wind. I will say that this establishment is probably more of a takeout in the colder months as there are no indoor seatings. To its credit though, the pho did help to warm me up! Just thought to share in case anyone else thought (like I did) there was indoor dining.

Delicious! I have been exploring the various pho options in Cville. I ilke Vu's pho a lot. Their pho is vegetarian so lacks the beef broth's heaviness. Highly recommend. The restaurant is like of like a food truck build into the side of a building. Cute. The seating is only outdoors on the patio. In Nov 2021 when I visited, the bowl and the utensils were all disposable, so when done with the meal, the patron has to put them away in the trash bin. The sauces all came in individual packets too. Interesting concept. I wish the business hours were more generous but will deal with it. Will visit again.

Awww such a calm little corner. Don’t hesite to stop here if you are craving noodles! This is a family business and the owners are friendly and welcoming. The menu has good variation imo. I added a picture. I had the lemon grass tofu noodles it was a fresh, with a hint of sweetness, the tofu was firm but it get softer with the juice at the bottom of the plate. I also had a cup of broth and oh my my just delicious. I promise you won’t be disappointed weather you get dry noodles or soup. **The spicy oil sauce will be too much if you are not used to spicy food

Very nice place to get delicious food!

We walked up to the window and the person who took our order was nice and helpful. We ordered a bahn mi, pho, and spring rolls.

Both the bahn mi and spring rolls were very fresh. The spring rolls were served with some peanut sauce that had an ideal texture and paired well with the included sriracha packet. The bahn mi was on a roll that also seemed fresh and the tofu and veggies were delicious. The best part of the bahn mi was the perfectly pickled carrots.

The pho was the showstopper. The broth was incredibly delicious and savory. Noodles were a great consistency and the veg was fresh like the spring rolls and bahn mi. I wasn't expecting such flavorful tofu, but it was garlicky with a nice chew. Since we were not staying to eat they offered to separate the noodles/veg from the broth and we appreciated that very much.

You can ask for fish sauce but I'm not sure it's necessary because the meals were great how...

GO HERE NOW! Assuming you're reading reviews to figure out where grab a bit, stop now, and just go here. Think about it, you could waste more precious vacation or downtown mall time looking at reviews on your phone, or you could just make the right decision and go here.

This spot is our go-to lunch spot. We average once a week having lunch here; that means we sometimes do twice a week since we are on vacation and away from Charlottesville from time to time.

Yes, it's vegan, and no you won't starve or be lacking protein after the meal. You'll have good energy and lower inflammation that will fuel you take on the rolling hills of Virginia.

Everything on the menu is awesome, but if it's your first time, order a Banh Mi - even if you just get one for the table to share.

They are moving soon to the Downtown mall next to the Jefferson Theater and we are excited for this expanded seating option and outdoor dining...
