Brick Block Ice Cream and Crepe shop — Restaurant in Chatham

I never write reviews because I don’t like the idea that a bad experience can deter customers and affect a whole business but this was such an odd experience. The first thing we noticed was the smell. It smelled so bad: sour damp socks. There were no other customers there. We asked to sample 2 flavors. The worker in charge seemed reluctant but relented. I wish she hadn’t—the samples were so small it was hardly possible to taste the flavors. It was really quite bizarre. They weren’t particularly great so we asked to try 1 more but were denied. We ordered a small scoop in a cone…then saw the cost: over 8 bucks. For the smallest-sized scoop? Was that a made-up cost on the spot? The ice cream wasn’t terrible but wasn’t great. It kinda ruined my afternoon.

At least the spoon was cool. It changed to blue when coming in contact with cold. Or maybe it just meant the plastic...

Burgers were very good, and the service was fine. It was just pricey, but maybe that's a function of being in Chatham. We ordered two regular cheeseburgers, an order of chicken tenders, and four lemonades. The bill was $90. We ordered off of a display above the counter and there were no prices in view. I couldn't find a menu anywhere either. Anyway, I have to say everything was really good. The burgers were seasoned very nicely and were juicy. They were also double patties, which I don't usually like, but these served us well since the four of us split them. It was more than enough for all of us. The lemonades were really good too. The one thing I'd ask that they change is to play something other than commercial radio over the sound system. The commercials were loud and...

Tourist Trap. Save your money and go elsewhere.

We stopped going here last year because the owner was incredibly rude to a family member. (He refused to make the ice cream she requested while asking “if she really needed that”. He even made everyone else wait outside the empty shop.)

Because we live here year round we decided to give it another shot, who knows maybe he was having a bad day. This was a HUGE mistake. Same pompous owner overcharging $15 for one scoop of the same cream you purchase at the supermarket.
