SUPERB restaurant with gracious and professional service, outstanding food and real value. Reservation was honored on time and the food was among the best on the Cape. The Bouillabaisse was so delicious and so generous, I had to take a picture. Among the best meals this year. October 2023 follow up. This is our third visit in 3 years, and the place is still outstanding, but I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. Three things made the visit slightly less than ideal than in the past. The waitress served our drinks by holding the glasses from the top, with each of her fingers around the rim (not too hygienic). The ceviche appetizer, despite being told it was not "that spicy," was almost uneatable, because of its spiciness. The bathrooms are in need of help (broken paper towel holder, no soap in dispenser and looking like a bathroom in a public building). The rest of the experience is top notch, but those items did not meet expectations. June 2024 - This restaurant continues to be the BEST one on the Cape. The food is generous and the quality and taste are just superb. I'd call their Bouillabaisse an "ode to seafood!" Service is willing and professional.

We had a lovely time at the Impudent Oyster over Memorial Day weekend. The restaurant called us at about 11am to make sure our party of four would still be arriving for our 8:45pm dinner reservation that evening. I can see why, as the Cape is often packed no matter the weekend, but especially holidays! As always, plan well ahead in advance! We were seated immediately for our dinner reservation. Drinks were in hand not 5 minutes after us arriving. I’d recommend the blueberry lemonade cocktail. We ordered Oysters Rockefeller for the table, and happily ate our complimentary bread with them. Don’t fill up on appetizers, as our entrees were of generous size. I ordered the Pesca Fra Diablo, and it took me a considerable amount of time to deconstruct all of the clams and lobster. In all, a very fulfilling holiday weekend treat! The restaurant did its best to make sure everything went smoothly even at its busiest time.

Food was good but could be even better if they listened to their customers’ requests. I asked for my salad to be lightly dressed. Didn’t happen. I asked for one thing to be removed from my salad as I am allergic to certain fruits / berries so I wanted to be on the safe side to remove the dried cranberries that came with my salad. However that didn’t happen either. I understand if it’s a Saturday evening and you’re super busy so you couldn’t accommodate any special requests, but it’s late Thursday lunchtime and they were not as crazy busy as some nights I think they can try to honor customer requests. Simply ignore your customers is not good for restaurant business. why bother to make them happy well you’re in the restaurant business so you should try to make people happy and accommodate their requests if you can. So, I’m taking two stars off.

We couldn’t get a reservation, but was told to come in and try and get a seat at the bar — it has the same menu. Bartenders keep track of seating at bar and call you’re name when they can seat you. We only had to wait for about 15 minutes to sit at bar and had a drink while we waited. The food and service here was great. They bring out bread, but we started with Devils on horseback — think there was 6 scallops included — the a Caesar salad. I had the pesca fra Diablo — massive portion and loaded with seafood. Had them bring out another loaf of bread because the sauce/broth was fabulous. My fiancé had he seafood Scarlett - luckily she let me try because again great portion of seafood but the pasta and sauce was on point too. Entrees are around $35 each, but all is worth it with the portion sizes and how good everything is.

This place has been around for over forty years, and I finally managed to stumble on it. I'm hoping it's around for another forty so I can go back many, many times. For appetizers we got bacon wrapped scallops and oysters Rockefeller. Both were great. For mains, tried the swordfish francese (so good, nice and light, solid lemon), and the seafood Palermo (basically a zuppa de pesce but in a light cream sauce and with artichokes, broccoli, and spinach ravoli). For dessert we had the coconut creme brulee and the banana sticky toffee pudding. Everything was great, server was great, experience was great. If I lived in Chatham I'd be a regular. Check it out.
