Chatham Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Chatham

My fiance' and I ordered the fish and chips. I don't know how they cooked it but it was not greasy. I enjoyed it! I normally don't eat the french fries or onion rings. I ate every crumb. My fiance' laughed because I normally don't like going out to eat. I dislike judgemental people. I felt very welcome here. They ran a two person crew. I watched them both pay attention to every detail of every customer. Amazing team work! I know it's not easy pleasing the public. They nailed it. Usually every time we go to eat something is neglected or forgotten. I wish I lived closer because we would be regulars. It was nice not to listen to my fiance' complain about anything. Enjoyed a nice dinner here after my son recommended it. The owners' son is in school with my son. Its a very casual counter service fried seafood joint. I got the haddock wrap which was nicely fried, light, and had a nice crispy coleslaw. Flavors were great and the wrap had a tiny char which added a great flavor. The wrap was lightly dressed which prevented it from getting soggy...which was appreciated. My son had the burger....which he devoured...so im thinking it was good! The star of the show though.... the clam chowder. Super flavorful, creamy, and loaded with clams. By far one of the best I've had so far this spring!

Prices are fair and comparable to other similar establishments.

Another 5 star review! Got the clam strips basket, clam chowder and cucumber salad.

The portion size was big, and the clam strips were likely some of the best I have ever had. The cucumber salad was delicious, and not over marinated. Now the chowder is where they almost lost a star. While the thickness and ingredients, as well as flavor were spot on, accidents happen in kitchens. The soup had a tinge of a burned taste. I let the chef know, and he tried it and caught it too, and apologized.

I was going to knock off a star for it, but the chef and I had a positive and constructive conversation about it. I would without a doubt come here again. That is part of being a great...
