My family and I were on vacation and searching for a wood-fired pizza for supper and bonus...a place that serves Detroit style too. I checked out Google maps and found Community Pie with a search. None of their spots said wood-fired, nor did the website. I then searched Facebook pages. Nothing on the Hamilton Place page (it was new, figured it just hadn't been mentioned) but yes on the downtown. We left the hotel and decided to go to HP as the traffic was nuts and we figured downtown would be worse. We get there only to find out that they DO NOT had a wood-fired oven at Hamilton Place. So sad! Please make this more clear on your website and/or Google maps. We opted to stay anyway as we were already there. We ordered a large pepperoni NY style and a large Detroit style pizza. The Detroit style pizza was 6 pieces, but really small. The cooked dough was overly chewy and the sauce was spicy. The crust crisp was OK. I was disappointed, especially when I made my family chose that restaurant since it had both NY and Detroit. I did not have any of the NY style so I cannot comment on that. They ate it but I know they would have liked it better if it were wood-fired. The interior of the restaurant was nice. Based on the bar and TVs I could guess that game time could be a little loud. Our server was nice.

We are visiting from Upstate NY and staying at the Hotel behind Community Pie. Stopped in for lunch and first of all the atmosphere is really nice with brick walls, cool lighting and a great open bar area. We started with the ricotta and honey app which comes with bread made from a local bakery and this is outstanding! We then ordered a NY style Margarita Pie and a Detroit style BBQ chicken. Both were delicious, the BBQ chicken comes with a side of locally made BBQ sauce. Finished with homemade gelato from their sister restaurant MILK and HONEY ( ask for it drizzled with EVOO, trust me). Besides the great atmosphere and delicious food... the service was quick and our server, Cooper took the time to tell us his favorites and even Inquire as to what brought us in. After learning we are from NY, he let the manager know. Karen ( the manager) stopped over to ask about our thoughts , chatted for a bit and recommended some things to do and places to eat in the Chattanooga area. What an exceptional experience this has been. We will definitely be back to Community Pie before we leave Chattanooga!

Our son took us to the one on Market Street back during the summer and the pizza was very good .. visiting him again this weekend and decided to go to the new Hamilton Place location for lunch and was lucky to have Noah as a server .. my wife and I ordered the small Detroit-style Roasted Mushroom with Sausage on half and our Son ordered 2 Home Slice slices which is the Little Italy version .. our pizza came out incorrectly and Noah made sure it was corrected .. a Manager also stopped by our table and apologized for the error and made sure we get the new and correct pizza ASAP .. we appreciated her acknowledging the error and the pizza tasted awesome .. the difference with this dining experience is how Community Pie quickly fixed the issue when the issue came up and we will definitely come back again

This is certainly a cool place 😎 for families 👪 as well, besides couples. While you guys are out enjoying the restaurant, please be aware of the surroundings. There are other outstanding restaurants in the area also. However this Five-Star 🌟 Review is about Community Pie. You guys have hit the jackpot for things to do. Got it ! Mr. C. I am the outstanding tour guide in our Beautiful Scenic City. I am here, and will assist you as your guide. Please go check out my other places to stay, play, and eat. You guys are hungry 😋 ? Let's eat some delicious food. I Highly recommend the Detroit- Style Super Supreme Large. You want pizza right ? However if you want Something different try the Drunk Pig NY Pizza 🍕. If you want a to try a Meatball Appetizer this will certainly work. If you are Vegan try the creative Hot Mess with Vegan Pepperoni. You will love it ! Furthermore throw in a Greek Salad 🥗. You are good to go. If you really want to go all out try their Famous Chicken, and, delicious waffles. This is a popular dish 😋. Speaking of popular 👌. It's restaurants like Community Pie, that has made our Scenic City One of the BEST Tourists Attractions in the World 🌎.We are a Great City to stay, play, and eat. Community Pie serves up your choices of drinks 🍸 as well to wash down your delicious food 😋. Once you are finished eating go walk 🚶‍♀️ the mall. You are in walking distance of our largest mall. Hamilton Place Mall. Like shopping 🛍 ? Like movies ? it's right across the parking lot from you guys. There are are other entertainment venues in the area as well. Like dancing 🕺? Like socializing ? Like parks ? for a nice evening Scenic View. All of this area has this, and a lot more. Guess what ? You guys are only about 10 miles from the heart of tourism. This of course is our World's Famous Aquarium. Take 75 to 24 for an evening of a lot more to do , and see. However make sure to give a Shout-out to Community Pie for excellent service. So maybe it does take a little longer with service sometimes. Got it ? This is because they stay busy at certain times. This is not a Bad thing. It just shows a lot of customers are keeping it moving. The outstanding, professional, and friendly staff is working extra hard to service you guys . Got it ? Please tip accordingly. They will thank you 😊. You will thank them as well. I love Community Pie at both locations 😋. I Love❤️...

Our group held a dinner at this location recently. There were approximately 30+ people and we were all seated outside. It was roughly 95 degrees outside and one of the tables was located in an area without coverage from the sun, so no one sat there.

Seeing as though we couldn’t be seated inside for whatever reason, we had to endure the hot sun with only one waitress for the whole party. I had to ask for them to turn on the outdoor fans because we were all miserable.

We all received a glass of water that had minimal ice in it. The ice melted within moments of being put out.

There was a communication issue as the waitress went to each table to get orders. She kept saying that she would get drink orders once all the food was put in, so we thought she meant we had to wait for something cold to drink. Turns out she was using a complicated system to enter alcoholic drinks, but regular drinks could be ordered with the food? I’m not sure what that was about… All I know is that the one alcoholic drink that my wife ordered was incredibly watered down from what she told me. It definitely wasn’t worth the almost $12 price tag.

My family and I ordered salads because it was so hot on the patio. My toddler just wanted one slice of pizza, so that’s what we ordered him. Once the salads hit the table, they were warm and the dressing didn’t taste very good. We were hungry and did our best, but over all, they just weren’t that good. The croutons were spicy from pepper and they were either overly hard or they were burnt and none of us ate them. My toddler ate a few bites of pizza and most of the pepperoni, but even he wasn’t impressed.

Overall, I don’t think that we will come back the next time we...

Edit added on September 1, 2023.

Edit: I said we would give them a 2nd chance. We just finished our 2nd visit and the food quality and service was top notch! Jacob was our server and he did a fantastic job! We ordered the Detroit Style pizza and it was off the chart delicious. The food, service and beverages were excellent! With that said, we will definitely be regulars at Community Pie. I highly recommend !

It wasn't a good first visit to Community Pie. We were seated immediately and then sat twiddling our thumbs for almost 10 minutes. We ordered a large supreme pizza after finally getting a server. The pizza was brought out and placed on the rack. Luckily for us there was another server talking to the people in the booth behind us. I say we were lucky because he sawnrhe very lkng hair hanging off the side of our pizza. The hair also has some extras at the bottom similar to lint collection or a mini hairball. The people in the booth happened to be management that worked there. She did apologize and ordered us a new pizza. Maybe they are still working out the kinks but the texture of the pizza was not very good. The crust was very spongy and wet and the toppings sort of slid off like a frozen pizza that was cooked in a microwave and wasn't quite done. The flavor was average at best. The manager did, however, give us her business card with a discount on a future visit. I guess in time we will try to give them a 2nd chance. If we do return we will definitely be ordering a Detroit style pizza and hope for better results with the texture and flavor. I will say "if" we return and the 2nd visit is a lot better I will update this review to...
