I have been ordering my food from IHOP using doordash for a little over a month or two oh, I can say that I put in almost $200 or more in to IHOP. I always get breakfast from IHOP, it was about one time I got lunch. Today's experience is what gets IHOP A1 and they will no longer receive any more money from me. I called the IHOP today once doordash dropped off my order and my apple juice and orange juice missing. This is not the first time something has been missing from my items. So since it began to be a repeated pattern, I'll end up having to call the IHOP to ask them to make sure that everything that I order is in my bag. Well what do you know every since I had to do that that's the only way all of my order will be in my bag, which is sad because it's not my responsibility to have IHOP to make sure my stuff is in my bag, it is up to IHOP to do that. I spoke to a Shana today and I informed her of the issue and all she could tell me was because I used or there's just called or Dez and tell them. She did not recognize that it was an issue on their end is to why I don't have my apple juice it's not up to doordash to keep refunding me money because some of these restaurants that I purchased my food through doordash will not make sure all my order is in my bag when it comes. And it's not up to doordash drivers to make sure all my stuff is there, all they'd have to do is come and pick it up especially if they're receiving a tip there tip is not to make sure that they check to see if the customers food is in all in the bag. As I informed Miss Shana that I am a customer service specialist being that I have several years working in restaurant hotels in a Healthcare professional and it's not up to the customer to make sure something is done about their order. When I inform is Shana she stated that there were new employees there, is if that's supposed to take the weight off the fact that my order was missing. As I encourage Miss Shana today and going for a guy willing to make sure that anybody that has a doordash order or GrubHub order to check the ticket however in general just checked the ticket and make sure all the food is available for every customers order and have great Hospitality, because Miss Shana hung up in my face as I was still talking to her. I did file a complaint with IHOP, and waiting to hear from a supervisor within the four days that I was told by the IHOP customer care complaint team. IHOP just lost a customer. And so many other restaurants in this area have lost a customer because of their rude attitude hanging up in my face and skipping me on my order. And I was just recently in a car accident, without a car because I will go up in person and Order myself that way if they messed up on my order I can say it in their face. It is so sad now days customer service in restaurants are getting very sloppy. Read moreTerrible. Air conditioning either not working, or seriously overtaxed, as it was sweltering inside. Got seated right away, which I hoped was a good sign, but I should have realized that at 10:30 am the restaurant was mostly empty, that things wouldn't go well.
Waitress was friendly, and took our order relatively quickly, but 45 minutes went by, and still no food. I began to get angry, as I have a daughter who is T1 diabetic, and I had already given her insulin in anticipation of her breakfast, so her blood sugar began to crash. They came out with some pancakes for her, so I enquired why could you bring her pancakes, but not the rest of our food? That's when the manager (I presume) came out to apologize and tell me that their tickets are running 45-50 minutes behind. I responded that at no time had anyone warned us when we were seated that it would take a ridiculous amount of time to get orders. If they had, we would have gone somewhere else. Even after this, she couldn't tell me when our food would actually arrive. I guess they moved our ticket ahead of other people, just to get us out the door. Food finally arrived, and was OK. We were so hungry by then we all just scarfed it down so we could leave.
This is unacceptable for any restaurant, and from the Google reviews, it's been going on for a long time. Considering that 90% of iHop's menu is pancakes, eggs, and bacon, there should never be a wait for these items, as the grill should always be preparing pancakes, eggs, and bacon. They had plenty of staff in the kitchen, but my guess is like a lot of restaurants post-pandemic, they're still taking too many online/carryout orders for DoorDash, and aren't servicing their customers in house like they should. Read moreWe went there Sunday afternoon for lunch. After we were seated our server took forever to take our order. When she got our drinks, she just stood at the food window. She did not acknowledge her customers. Everyone that came in after us and was seated near us, when she finally took their order she told them she was sorry for the wait but she was the only one working in that section. My daughter in law got up and had to ask someone for refills on drinks. After we sat there for one hour and five minutes I asked to speak to the manager. Our server went and told her. The manager was a woman with neck length light brown hair. She never came. I got up and went to her. She kept her back to me. One of the other servers told her that I wanted to speak to her.she kept saying that she was sorry. She looked at our ticket and said that they were cooking our now. She said that our order wasn't put in until 1:45. We were seated at 1:05. I told her that I wanted to pay for our drinks so we could leave. She said don't worry about the drinks. The last three times I have been there the same thing has happened. We ended up leaving without eating. The only reason we went there this time is because we had children and thought they would enjoy eating there. These problems have been going on for years there. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THAT CORPORATE HAS NOT CLEANED THIS PLACE UP. MANAGEMENT IS ABSOLUTELY POOR. I WILL NEVER STEP MY FEET IN THE DOORS OF IHOP AGAIN.
