Krystal — Restaurant in Chattanooga

I'm not typically one to write negative reviews, but I am so offended right now. The Shallowford Krystal has been my favorite location since they reopened. A few weeks ago, I ordered two cheese Krystals with no onion and what I received was two Krystals with onions and no cheese. I can understand the mistake, especially if the person making the order was tired or stressed. I was disappointed, but thought I could just call and let them know, thinking they would certainly make it right. I spoke with a very kind male manager. He told me to save my receipt and the next time I'm in the area, they would be happy to replace the order. I really appreciated that. I went there today and shared the information with the girl who took my order. She asked me to wait and then a man came to the window and told me that because my receipt was from January 14th AND because I did not write the name of the manager I spoke with on the receipt, he was not going to replace the order. Meaning he was not willing to honor the manager's word. I was just sitting there, thinking, are you kidding me? He chose to be that way to a customer over TWO KRYSTALS. The manager did tell me his name the night I spoke with him, but I do not recall him telling me that I had to write his name on the receipt. I also do not recall being given a timeline on when I needed to return. And I typically have a great memory. I just feel that customer service is not at all what it once was. And I hate that the man I spoke with today placed value of two Krystals over my word, my receipt and my loyalty to...

I had an extremely upsetting experience at this restaurant that I feel compelled to share. And I have NEVER written a review before, if that tells you anything. I went through the drive-thru and encountered a male employee who was aggressive, abrasive, and shockingly unprofessional. He rushed me, made fun of me while I was ordering, and even yelled loudly enough to scare my toddler who was sitting in the backseat.

When I paid nearly $40 for our meal, I expected a basic level of courtesy and quality. Instead, the man laughed as he handed me the food. Once I got back to my hotel and started to eat, I became seriously concerned that the food had been tampered with—it did not seem safe, and given the hostile attitude of the drive-thru worker, I no longer felt comfortable eating it. $40 wasted.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable. I deserve an explanation for this experience, and this employee clearly needs immediate retraining in customer service. Every customer should be treated with respect, not humiliation and intimidation.

I’m sure when the employee reads this, he will think this review is hilarious. It’s hilarious until you run off all of your customers, losing money for the store and then your store closes down. Then you are out a job. So maybe learn how to respect people or get a job where you don’t have to speak to...

I decided to share our terrible experience today at the Krystal on Shallowford Rd in Chattanooga, but as I read thru the reviews I can already see how poorly this Krystal is managed. Our order was wrong after waiting 20 minutes for our food, and when I pointed out our order was incorrect I was told by the smart mouth girl behind the counter "thats what you ordered". When I stated again that wasn't correct she started yelling at me and my husband that we were white trash and entitled. I asked the supervisor on shift to reprimand her. He refused, clearly afraid of offending her and actually told us he had been told previously by management not to admonish them eve if they were out of line! She was cursing at us and yelling over any words the supervisor was saying to us as he was trying to refund our money. I will never again eat at this disgusting restaurant. Im not sure why management has let this behavior continue as written per the reviews It appears they give the obligatory responses but yet change nothing. The staff at this location is reprehensible. Im not one to say people should be fired bc we all make mistakes, but this time I will say the girl name Tamika needs to be fired!! She has a bad attitude and a filthy mouth.
