We came here on our way out of town, and I can honestly say that I would be hard pressed to tell of a worse experience at a fast food establishment.
I recognize that it's a mcdonalds. I don't keep high standards for fast food. In fact, I worked at McDonalds for quite a while, so if anyone gets what it's like, I'm in that boat.
We ordered a large Big Mac meal with no club(middle bun) and a coke, a 10pc nugget with BBQ sauce, and a large double quarter Pounder meal with a Dr pepper
When we got to the window, we were handed out a large Dr. Pepper and two medium cokes. When we explained that the drinks were wrong, the employee at the window argued with us and said he gave us an extra drink for free and that both were coke. He even went as far as to accuse us of cussing him out(we did not) and ask us if we could read the order screen behind him(we could not, nor should we have to) and see that there was no large coke on our order. Overall, the interaction came across as very condescending and rude and left me with a bad taste in my mouth from the beginning. I was taught that in food service, when a customer makes a complaint, you apologize and find a solution to make sure they're taken care of.
We would have happily paid for a large coke separately, but the employee said he only passed the food out the window and did not know how to place orders. Maybe things run different for employee training now, but that seems a little strange. At that point, the experience had become so uncomfortable that we just wanted to get our food and leave. Ultimately, we were charged for a Big Mac and large fry a la carte(which costs more) and had two medium cokes and no cup holder for one of them on our way out of town. Inconvenient, but we were afraid to discuss any more with this employee because it was clear that he was unwilling to rectify the situation in any way.
We got our food, and not only were we missing one of our fries, but there was no sauce with the nuggets. The fries were quite salty, and nothing was fresh. We had to send the driver in to get the missing fry and sauce, and we just ate the rest as it came because we didn't want any more trouble.
Having worked in fast food and the culinary field, I have a very high tolerance for mistakes and consider myself to be very understanding when it comes to food service. It's a tough job, and sometimes mistakes can't be prevented. However, being condescending to and arguing with customers in the drive thru is unacceptable, and I will drive across town before I visit this McDonalds again.
If you look at my other reviews, I typically still give decent ratings even if the service is not perfect. This was awful and may be my lowest rating. Employees like the one we interacted with have no place in customer service.

Read moreI am not at all the person to do this but I’ve had it with these younger kids working here. They are completely rude and very disrespectful. And HAHAHA cause I know everyone is just gonna make fun of this and laugh about it so let me be the first to laugh. I put a curbside in and I get there just after 2pm. Waiting for my order I let it slide with being there for over 15 ish minutes because I can see they’re a little busy at the time and need time to catch up on orders. There’s two other cars that pull up AFTER me also for curbside. At this time it’s been over 25 minutes waiting for my order. The cars that got there AFTER me get their food first which I’m confused because I got there WAY before them. I end up getting one younger girl with braids to go look for my order but before I got her attention she looked at me and looked away with a stupid look like she knows that I’ve been out there for over 35 mins now. She comes back out to ask my name and goes back in to check on it. After another 10 mins someone else brings me my burger and fries [which are cold and gross at this point] but not my drink. I tell the 2nd person that I was missing my drink so he goes back in and just doesn’t come back out with my drink. He had a red ish afro. Another 20-25 mins go by and no one has come out and I’m just over it at this point. I wait only another 5-10 mins before I’m done waiting and just leave. It’s like they were taking turns on who had to deal with me when I wasn’t even rude in the first place. Makes zero sense as to why I was treated this way for absolutely no reason. Waiting OVER an hour for 2 out of the 3 things I ordered. It’s FAST FOOD for a reason. It’s just absolutely ridiculous that people treat other people this way only because they’re too lazy to deal with the...
Read moreAnother place where service is a four letter word:
Was asked to leave by general manager. My friend in wheelchair was sitting at the disabled tables with his stuff. He was then sitting near the near by table with a older white guy with 2 DVD players watching movies. I was sitting near the windows in the television area near the sidewalk side of the building. The other two guys were across the room sitting at the table by the internal wall.
The general manager was the same guy who asked security to tell me to leave the 3rd Street location a few months ago, approximate date ------ 2014. Again, we three were the only customers there and we had bought tea and a couple of sandwiches and the guy in the wheelchair would have bought more items and so would I.
We have spent $500-$700 on food between the local diners in two weeks. We are both disabled and we eat out much of the time.
This is the third McDonalds in Chattanooga to tell me to leave their diner for no real reason except they are mean.
This guy says ''people don't like seeing the lame guys bags'' but he must have the problem himself with a chance to bash homeless guys or white guys.
Anyway, maybe people don't want to see him at McDonalds? This is the second McDonalds diner he wanted me to leave for no real reason.
I have also observed other incidents regarding McDonalds bashing their customers.
This manager said he wasn't trying to be a buthole but we knowed the rules..
What rules? people feel guilty to see crippled guy so leave? People feel guilty...
