When we arrived on a Saturday evening around 10 PM, four people were clustered near the entrance—two seemed like patrons, while the other two appeared to be employees. As we approached, I initially assumed the seated man was a bouncer ready to check IDs, but instead, the group casually stepped aside to let us in. The booming music gave the impression we were stepping into a nightclub. Inside, the front of the house had two patrons at a table, while a small group of guys played pool in the back.
We grabbed a menu and skimmed through it quickly. Moments later, the man who’d been sitting outside came in to take our order, and the other person lingering near the entrance—also an employee—popped in to check on things.
We tried the Spencer: the meat was utterly forgettable, devoid of seasoning (the server mentioned he'd bring au jus for dipping but never did-leaving the already bland cut even more underwhelming), the vegetables tasted like they’d been briefly dunked in salted water, and the potato was just… fine. The spaghetti with savory meat sauce fared no better—basic execution, zero creativity, nothing to write home about. Overall, the food barely scrapes a 2.5-star rating thanks to its lackluster flavors. While the price felt steep for what we got, our options were slim—nearby spots were either...
Read moreIf I could rate it w zero star, I would. My group had just arrived in Chelan and was looking for food. When my friend asked the front of the house (owner’s wife) if she can sit 15 people, she happily sat us. Good review so far but this is where it gets shitty. After she had sat us, she was very passive aggressive when it comes to us ordering our food. I ordered a half rack of rib, the ribs was luke warm, and bland. The only thing that saved the dish was the BBQ sauce. I asked my group what they thought about the food and they said the same thing. Also very overpriced for what they are serving. When it came to checking out, I had ask if we were allowed to split per table. Front of the house and owner was making a big deal about “we cant split the bill”, “it’s an old system so it’ll take awhile”. And when we were paying, front of the house told my mom that, “we’re lucky we sat you down because you usually have to call ahead of time for a group like this.” Mind you, it was 10am in the morning and there was only one table that was being served OUTSIDE. AND front of the house HAPPILY sat us when we got there and had no problem with it at all.
Overall experience: shitty food, shitty service, overpriced to hell. Never going back to this restaurant and I hope the owner sees this. “Veteran owned” but no...
Read moreIt was my birthday and we chose to try this place. They got both of our orders wrong. My husband ordered and got charged for a prime rib dip but was served regular roast beef. He ordered potato salad and got fries. I ordered seafood fettuccine that was to have salmon, halibut, and shrimp. They brought me chicken. I sent it back and the waitress came back and told me they were out of halibut and could put extra salmon and prawns. I got two prawns in it was all , but I think I got extra salmon. This was a 28.00 dish, but NOT worth the price. Because they had to redo my meal, my husband and I had to eat my birthday dinner separately. The waitress never checked on us during our meal, and nobody asked how things were and if we needed anything. Upon leaving, my husband voiced our disappointment and the manager argued with my husband about the roast beef vs prime rib. We are locals and will never eat there again and will tell everyone we can to NEVER eat there. We are very easygoing people and dont complain. Had they tried to make things right on the bill, or offered us some sort of apology or something for our experience, we would have tried them again, however the manager’s rudeness has caused us...
