We ate there about 8:30pm and left about 9:40pm when receiving our check the waiter had put the check as one, added a gratuity automatically (instead of letting us choose tip) When letting the waiter, Carlos, know our checks were three separate checks he began to scream across the restaurant what we ordered. This was in front of other people eating then he asked if we would “Tip good”. It was so awkward and uncomfortable I almost didn’t believe why he was doing that in a restaurant setting. Everything before this was completely fine and we were going to tip him. Being the fairly timid and understanding person I am, I tried giving him the benefit of the doubt and gave him a $10 cash tip. But after adding the tip as gratuity without us knowing he was going too far, my trust was awry. When we confronted him to change the tip amount ($32) he threw our receipts at us. We still left an $11 dollar tip on the actual receipt (this was me and my boyfriend) since the food was good we left it at that. This was a total of $21 tip. When leaving he did not give us a receipt but since we wanted to leave and had so much uncomfortable confrontations we just wanted to get out of there. A few days later we checked our account and the waiter not only had left the 11 dollar tip but took the normal 32 dollar tip and the other people we were with had declined to tip due to the terrible service were still charged for a $20 Dollar tip. They had removed the tip and signed for the check only. We called the manager leaving messages and a few days later he called us we tried to Explain what had happened and he said “I don’t think that’s what happened but I’ll get to the bottom of this. he comes from a good family. This doesn’t sound like him, this didn’t happen”. Not only was I completely taken back with confusion but we asked for the tip back and he said “that’s too much you’re asking forToo much now”. All we did was ask for the money that was taken out incorrectly (fraud) since we did not tip that amount. We felt the need to say if nothing was done we might have to call the bank and report it fraud and file a police report since we literally confronted the waiter about the added tip in the beginning due to the terrible Service. The owner Brent goes on to say “now you’re being ridiculous go call the cops I don’t care call the cops”. We ended up calling our bank and reporting it fraud as well as the other people. But safe to say that was the worst experience. Just make sure you check your cc statements and bank accounts! Don’t want this to...
Read moreOkay, I love Chelan but there are not a lot of places (that I know of) to sit and eat with kids. We decided on this place because the menu had things on it the kids wanted to eat. I ordered a burger w a salad, my daughter chicken nachos, and my son got chicken strips with fries. The nachos came out with beef instead of chicken and my burger came out with fries instead of a salad. Then i heard the table next to me saying they received a bill for $52 for their one beer. I never received a refill on my drink even though it sat empty. And to top it off, the waitress added herself an extra $1 tip on my meal. My employer buys $10 toward my lunch each work day so I have to keep receipts. I am not permitted to tip anything over 20%, so I tipped $2. When it came time to match my transactions with receipts, they did not match so now I have to write up an explanation for my employer. I am shocked this restaurant has managed to stay in business. The food was overpriced (comparable to a Denny's) and the service was awful. STAY AWAY...
Read moreCame in to watch the coug game and grab some drinks Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. We had been at this place the night before for a couple hours and figured it would be a good place to come back again. The place was pretty empty, and we told the the hostess that we just wanted a place to sit that we could see the TV. She told us we could sit at the bar, but we decided we would rather sit at a booth. 3/4 of the place was empty and the hostess was no longer there when we walked back to the front to let her know, so we sat ourselves. To make a point of us sitting without being seated, for the next 20 minutes the waitress and hostess refused to acknowledge our existence. We were absolutely disgusted with their lack of hospitality and felt completely disrespected for something that was honestly completely harmless. Management needs to review their staff and discuss with them that customers are probably more important than their opinion of what was the "correct" customer etiquette....
