Lousy food. Used to be good. Has totally gone downhill. I ordered a Louisiana Pizza. There was so much hot sauce on it, I damn near died from choking on the first bite. Giving the benefit of the doubt, I ordered another on a later date and let them know about the previous order to make sure it wouldn't happen again. It didn't make one bit of difference. Still way too much hot sauce. I stopped going for a while and decided to give Apollo's one last chance. I ordered a Buffalo Chicken Steak with Blue Cheese Dressing. The kid cooking it asked if I wanted the dressing on it or on the side. I said on it. When I opened wrapper the sandwich didn't look quite right. The kid mixed the dressing in with the hot sauce and cooked it into the steak on the grill and my fries were severely undercooked. I called the manager, who claimed to be a cook. I told him what happened and asked if putting blue cheese dressing on the grill was something that is normally done. He said yes. Any cook worth his salt knows you don't put mayo, or dressing containing mayo on the grill EVER, for any reason. These people have no clue. The kids working the counter are more interested with their conversations than their customers and the cooks are anything but. I really used to like this place. What a disappointment. Do yourself a favor and skip Apollo. I...
Read moreWhen I went in today, I placed my order and when I went to pay, I noticed the cashier had hives all over both of her hands. I didn't recall her having them last time. I sat there waiting for my order to come up, and I overheard her talking to a coworker about how she has some type of infestation at home, and that she will have to "bomb her home, cat, and dog." (Bombing meaning a process of chemical extermination) I have no idea why she was allowed to work. Whatever is causing her hives could be communicable, yet she is handling everyone's food, and payments. Shame on the owner for making it impossible for their workers to call out or be out sick when they are in need of medical attention and healing. In the past, I haven't had much problems with Apollo's in Glenside besides always getting serious heartburn. I don't suffer from chronic heartburn, but something with their pizza or the toppings I normally get has given it to me three times in a row. I'm now looking for a higher quality pizza and sandwich shop in the area. I will not be returning to Apollo's in Glenside, or their Media PA location, which, until now, I also frequented despite their...
Read moreI have ordered from here for years, usually driving 30 minutes because we are far. Grub hub added them and I was so happy since they won't deliver to me (obviously, I know is far). I'm so disgusted today is my last day I'll ever order from appolos. After I placed my order I get an email they are charging me more than what I paid. I call to ask why and I'm told even though it says I ordered waffle cheese fries that's not the right price, that's the price just for the fries so they have to charge me extra for the cheese. Even though it says WAFFLE CHEESE fries. It's not about the 40c, it's the point. You can't just have wrong prices and adjust when you feel like you want to. My mozzarella sticks were not even cooked. I'm assuming they were upset with me after I called. I was very kind though, and actually had to tell the man I wasn't being rude, I was inquiring to stop his attitude he had as soon as he got on the phone with me. And also, after all that, most of the fries are black and brown. So thanks for that. Can't even call to ask a question without getting sent bad...
