I called in to ask what the latest carryout time would be and was informed that it was 11:15p since the store closes at midnight. I told the employee I would be placing my order online for that time and proceeded to do so. As soon as I finished placing and paying for the order, someone else called me from the store asking me If I could pick my order up sooner because there was a "security issue," he didn't want to leave the door unlocked, and decided they would be closing early. I asked how soon and was asked to pick the order up as soon as possible, which was a little over an hr before the latest pickup time. I was ordering as late as possible because we were flying into Norfolk late and dominos was dinner on the way home. I ended up having someone else pick up our order and leaving it at home to be cold when we arrived. This location is one of the closer locations to my home and it was our favorite up until this last interaction.
As a manager myself, I understand the importance of keeping your employees safe. The shopping center where this Domino's is located is in the middle of 2 other businesses that both close well before midnight; one being a dialysis center. The shopping center is also one way in and out. The employee told me the security issue was because there was a suspicious person walking up and down the shopping center. If there really was a security issue, the police should have been called to protect the employees and check out the "mysterious person" walking the shopping center. I doubt that there was ever a security issue that night, and I am sure the employees just wanted to close up shop early. I would not have had an issue with them letting me know they were closing early instead of making up an absurd story. Needless to say, I will NOT be visiting this...
Read moreI have ordered from this place many times and never have once encountered an issue such as this. May 1st, I placed an order on the phone and when my family arrives to pay we are informed that they would not except anything greater than a $20. My order was about $15, and truly all I had was a $50. Nick acted like he didn’t care, so we had to cancel the order. There were no signs on the door nor was I informed at the time I placed my order that I would have to bring in something smaller than a $50. This makes no sense because what if my order was $45? Would you not except a $50 then? If this is something that is implemented, customers need to be aware before they place an order and you need to have signs out there stating the currency you will not take!
This is very disappointing as Domino’s has lost a customer for life. Not that you really care, but still reviewing. Just incase y’all try to say there was a sign out, I took a pic of the store front! My husband also called and Nick was dancing around the...
Read morePizza was good . We ordered curb and side meaning they would bring it to our car once it was ready and we were picking it up but I guess this place has a different version of curb side pick up because we literally sat in our car for about ,30 min watching thru the windows the dudes in there just going on with what they were doing not even considering bringing us the pizza . We could have sat out there all nite and not been acknowledged im sure but eventually I went in to get my pizza . They weren't busy either so there was no understanding to me why u offer a service but then don't follow thru with it because the people in the car next to me ended up doing the same thing and walking in for this order since nobody was bringing it out . Maybe u should take that service off the menu or maybe the employees are just lazy and need to be replaced or given shorter shifts if walking out to the car is more then they...
