Last Saturday we rolled by at 11:12 and there was a line out the door. I told hubby, it's only 12 minutes past opening, how can they be that busy. This Saturday rolls around and I'm determined more than ever to get there before 11am. I've recently had emergency hernia surgery with a recovery complication that landed me back in the hospital, so, time out of the house for me is a whole ordeal but I got up at 8 and and we were out by 900. We had a couple of stops before we left the country but we managed to arrive at 10:33. Because there were already people waiting in their cars, I decided to make hubby stand outside with me at the door, in the rain. He wasn't happy but, the man does what I ask without too many complaints. Especially now since I've had a brush with death. I noticed that the doors were open and asked the young lady inside if we could wait inside so we wouldn't get wet. She said no due to a liability issue and back outside we went. I mention all of this because we were not out there long before a gentleman came out and told us to get in out of the rain.
While we were waiting out the minutes til they're official 11 opening the same gentleman told us to go ahead and order. I'm assuming he was one of the managers. As he checked on us later I mentioned the out the door folks last weekend and he tells me that it was their grand opening & they were giving away 100 free sandwich coupons. Well, I woulda waited that out myself as the food here is phenomenal!
I didn't take a lot of pics or fancy videos as I just wanted to gobble my BBQ Cheesy sandwich up! I am an onion ring aficionado, and while they were quite delicious the star of my sandwich was that super moist, super crispy, flavorful chicken. I mean, it was so moist it was as wet as I was hanging in the rain! We both ordered small fries and could have shared an order as you get alot! I am a crinkle cut vs natural cut potato girl but the salt and sweet seasoning took them over the top yummy for me.
Hubby had the Nashville Hot and enjoyed it. He's a man of few words but when he tells me we'll be back, I know all I need to know. Plus, he's already told me what he's having on the next visit.
Now, when I asked the young lady if we could wait inside and she said no, she also said coming in at 11 wouldn't be a problem as there wouldn't be that many people coming in at 11. Ha!! There was a line of folks behind us ordering before opening and they just kept coming in. And in.
Because we live so close to NC, we have to plan trips in when choosing to dine in. Super Chix will definitely be in the line up for a return visit.
I wanted to try a shake but I'm running on limited belly space so that is something to look forward to.
Everyone was very efficient and friendly and in this day and age, it was refreshing.
Thank you SC and staff for a...
Read moreSuper Chix delivers mega sized sandwiches that don’t just fill you up, they challenge your loyalty to even the biggest names in chicken. My wife ordered the Chicken Cordon Bleu, and the sandwich was so large it was falling off the bun on both sides. The sauce they use on it was absolutely delicious and brought the whole thing together.
I got the Korean BBQ Chicken Sandwich with coleslaw, no pickles because pickles are pure evil and almost as bad as mushrooms. It was messy but incredible. This one’s a limited time offering, so if it sounds good, don’t wait too long.
Now the fries. Most local eateries serve soggy or forgettable fries. Not here. Super Chix does shoestring style fries that come out super crunchy. I got mine with rosemary pepper seasoning, and they were seriously some of the best I’ve had in the area.
What really stands out is the value. A lot of local places don’t have the same buying power, so they can’t purchase ingredients in bulk at scale. That likely drives up their cost per serving, which often means smaller portions and higher prices not because they’re cutting corners, but because that’s the reality of operating at a smaller scale. Super Chix, on the other hand, seems able to offer large portions but still at a reasonable price point. Honestly, it’s so good I’m starting to question my long time loyalty to Chick fil A. I’m not ready to dethrone my favorite just yet, but if my next visit to Super Chix is just as good, I might have to.
Neither my wife nor I could finish both our sandwich and fries, so we took a bunch home for later.
Highly recommend checking this place out. You won’t...
