Olive Garden Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Chesterfield Township

Today we went to the new Olive Garden on 23. We have been here once before. Today we were seated in the first booth in the bar area with our 2 children. The waiter came up and introduced himself and got us our waters within a reasonable timeframe. When we ordered soup & salad, our waiter practically rolled his eyes at us. Now we did order a couple of refills, but he would go missing for long periods of time and if he popped back out to check on another table, he avoided us. He never once cleared our table. Not once. I stacked all the plates and bowls up nicely, the hostess actually cleared it the first time. After I had looked over their way multiple times, at the manager who just stood at the front flirting with the young hostesses. The hostess asked us if we needed anything else and we asked for a box, but she never brought it: The waiter went to get us a refill and did not bring us waters or the kids milk we had already asked for. When the kids meal came, there we no extra plates for them to split the meal. I made eye contact with the manager multiple times while he stood at the host stand, but he never even acknowledged me or asked us how our meal was. When we asked for our final refill, the waiter just stared at us blankly and said ok. He was gone for a long time. We ended up paying in the kiosk at the table. Thankful for that, because it did not seem that our server really wanted to come back to our table. Then another server came over and grabbed our stacked up plates on the edge of the table. Our server had came to our table several times within that time frame that he should have removed the plates. I just think that the staff needs to be more aware and pay attention to the customers needs and cues. The food was good, the Zappa toscana a bit spicy but still very good. We still tipped 20% because servers need to live on their tips, but please please pay more attention to the customers in your establishment! And always serve with a smile. My friend and I came to this location because we were craving it. We were sat and our server, Dani, came over and was talking to us as if we were her long lost friends! This was AWESOME!! She made us feel so welcome and comfortable and her energy was just contagious. She offered us the unlimited sauce for breadsticks, which of course, we said yes as we had never tried it before.. best.. Decision.. EVER! It was SO good.. nice blend of creamy, salty, little bit sweet, and super HOT when it arrived. We decided to go as an early dinner to avoid the dinner crowd and it was SUCH a great decision. We were able to talk without an excessive amount of noise around us, which is what we were hoping for. Salad was amazing and crisp and fresh, as usual. Then came our entrees. I had the Shrimp Scampi which was my first time having it, and it was perfect! Perfectly cooked asparagus and shrimp with tomatoes and a light garlic sauce over angel hair pasta.. definitely getting that again. My friend got the chicken and shrimp carbonara and added broccoli and the portion was huge! She could barely put a dent in it but she said it was the most amazing meal she has had in a long time! Olive Garden is in fact my favorite restaurant. That's why it's surprising to me to realize about 10 years have passed since I've been there. At any rate my best friend took me out to eat there and it was every bit as delicious as I remembered. This Olive Garden was very clean, really a beautiful restaurant with absolutely wonderful employees. I wish I remembered my waitresses name but she was so very kind and accommodating a genuine pleasure. She was on the shorter side with brown hair and she was great. We had the mozzarella stick / Square things for an appetizer and oh my goodness they were divine. I don't often drink but for this dinner I had a berry sangria it was literally the best drink I've ever had. I had the fettuccine alfredo and again truly delicious and also the pasta fazool like everything else it was so good. Go to Olive Garden if you want to relax and have an absolutely delicious meal, it is so worth it. I will definitely be back quite soon. I highly recommend this Olive...
