Buying an appliance from here may seem to be easy but delivering an appliance is a different story. Our delivery time was 7am - 11am and we were told we'd get a call 20-30 mins out. My husband took some time off work and I rearranged my schedule to be there during those times. At 10:35 am we still had not received a call. I called the Chesterfield store since the online tracking was not working. I was hoping they could help track my dishwasher. I got the answer "that's above my pay grade". Well I know you're getting paid something and I'm currently trying to track it for free was my response. That associate gave me a phone number which gave me a texting option since there were long waits to talk to someone. I went through the texting and they were having difficulty to tracking my order as well. It's now almost 11:30am and no appliance. At this point my husband had to leave for work and I was stuck canceling an appointment for myself. While texting the representative they gave me another phone number to call. I called that number and a very unprofessional woman answered the phone. She explained that there was an emergency and the truck our delivery was on was waiting for another truck to come pick up our order. We were told they were one stop from our home but there would be delays because of this. They could give us no time though. Very frustrated me at this point told her that a call would have been the right thing to do. Her not liking my tone basically hung up on me. I called the store again. I spoke with a manager and told him what's going on and he said he'll track it down and call me back. I explained I understand things happen but a courtesy call would have been nice. Anyways he calls me back and says the woman I called was my courtesy call. How's that possible I called her. The manager was basically no help and i was told my only option was to cancel my order. Cancel my order is not an option. I want my order. So it's now 2pm no dishwasher and no call. I call the store and they were trying to track it and call me back. My husband called again since we hadn't gotten a call back from anyone and their response was we were just going to call you, it should be there in an hour and a half. At 415 we got a call that our order would be here in 20-30 mins. At this point my husband had to be somewhere at 430 and I had to be somewhere at 445. The delivery guys show up very polite and fast right before I have to leave. I told them just put it on the porch. Of course no time to inspect the dishwasher at this point. We get home later that evening and get it out of the box there was a screw broken on the bottom and a dent in the front of it. We ended up just installing it at this point. Just all around a very...
   Read moreUpdate: Between being told to wait 3-5 business days multiple times, the holidays, getting covid and me just putting it off, this was finally resolved 2 months later. I went into the Chesterfield store and was helped by two women at the customer service desk. I wish I could remember their names. I got the impression this was an uncommon error but they took the time to dig into it and get it resolved. A manager named Colleen gave the OK to reimburse me with a $100 gift card (I originally used a $75 gift card) to help make up for the hassle. I really appreciate these 3 employees taking the time to solve the issue and making it right.
This review is for both the store and company overall. I placed an online order for a freezer to be delivered later in the week. I paid using a $75 gift card and the remaining balance with my credit card. The next day I received a voicemail and email from the local store. Basically there was a "problem' processing the order payment. After two phone calls to the local store I got no where. First I was told my order number didn't exist and when I called again to speak with "John in major appliances" he didn't answer nor did he call back. A pending charge with home depot is showing on my credit card. When I tried to place the order again online it said my gift card balance was zero. So home depot certainly got paid.
I called customer support who confirmed that the order existed but there was a "problem" processing the payment. That's about as specific as anyone has been regarding what happened. I was told I would have to wait 3-5 business days for a E-gift card. I need the freezer soon. I don't have time to wait 3-5 business days for a gift card to be emailed and then another 5 days for delivery.
Another option was to place the order again using my credit card, dispute the first charge, and get a replacement gift card later. I don't want a replacement gift card that forces me to deal with this lousy company a second time. I guess I get to waste more time on the phone to get my gift card...
   Read moreCould not be more dissatisfied with our latest purchase from this home depot store and delivery service. After purchasing a new washer/dryer to replace broken ones on a weekend, we scheduled for weekend delivery to save the time off work. Upon delivery the delivery associate told us we needed install replacement water shut off valves before they would install, however they would leave the units in our garage. We asked why we couldn’t just shut off our water in the basement and they said “we just cant”. Instead of arguing further we obliged. They said they weren’t busy this week so should be able to get back out very soon to install. We called a weekend plumber to replace the valves. The nice man came and was able to shut off the water valves with no issue. He took a video and pictures, and said that he sees this a lot from the lowes/home depot delivery services. They get overbooked and then make up reasons they cant finish installs so they get their schedules completed. We replaced the valves anyway to alleviate any further reason to not install. I have rescheduled this install 2 times now and the units are still sitting in our garage! Today our delivery window was from 130-5. Its now 9:23pm and neither the Home Depot customer service nor the delivery company know what happened! We have lost days off work from bogus delivery windows, gotten unnecessary plumbing work done, have spent countless time with customer service and STILL have units uninstalled sitting in the garage! Have never had a bad experience until this one, and this time has been bad enough to never shop there again for major appliances! Please save yourself the trouble and find a way to deliver and install...
