White Sox, White Sox, Go Go White Sox! This ballpark is clean, it has awesome food, and there is plenty to do, for all ages.
It's been 10 years since Comiskey Park became "The Cell," but no one will correct you if you refer to it by its former name (not to be confused with the original, "old" Comiskey Park across 35th Street).
The large and available parking lots are sweet for tailgating, and the conjoining Barcardi in the Park bar is top notch for food and drinks. Once you're inside the stadium, you'll have a variety of good stadium food, but I recommend to get the Cuban Rocket Sandwich or a serving of elotes.
No matter where you sit, you'll have a good view of the field, and you will enjoy the fireworks show, each time the White Sox hit a home run. If you prefer a bar-type atmosphere, head down to the Bullpen sports bar, located behind the right-field fence.
If you have kids (13 & under), hit up the "Fundamentals" area, because they can play baseball activities, like batting cages.
There is plenty of space to walk around the stadium, and to have many photo ops with statues of your favorite baseball legends. Here's a copy and paste from the White Sox website: Minnie Minoso. Read moreI've had a beautiful experience every time! The atmosphere is amazing! There's alot of places to take pictures with the family to save the memories and the staff is all very friendly! The food is the best!!!! From hot dogs, to tacos, to pizza, to burgers! They have a huge variety of food that increases even more every year! They have a delicious Cuban burger, my favorite! The little kids can have nachos and cheese, pretzels, dippin' dots, soft serve, lemonade, etc! For an extra charge you can get loaded nachos in a plastic souvenir helmet! They come with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, salsa, choice of meat and sour cream! You can get little souvenir helmets too in the ice cream section. It's really an amazing place full of cheerful fans and things to do! My sons are in the kids club, which allows them to receive freebies and have access to different little games/activities prior to the game. Tailgating is super fun too, there's plenty of people grilling and having a good time in the parking lot before the game. Best part too is that they have alot of promotional dates! We've gotten from bobbleheads, to soccer jerseys, sweaters, shirts, calendars, and my favorite, superhero day, which includes a promotional superhero freebie! Overall, a great place to visit to make alot of...
Read moreAmazing environment- family friendly, great staff who are enthusiastic about the game. The stadium revels in its tradition, yet features a wide range of modern amenities, best in class ballpark food, and a wide array of promotions and entertainment options including concerts and an in house DJ. The park sponsors an eclectic range of special events: Northwestern University alumni night, a post-game concert with Chicago legend Kaskade, ethnic heritage festivals, merch giveaways, dog days, 80s night, post-game fireworks. The park goes above and beyond to welcome fans of visiting clubs as well, providing concierge like service for out of town visitors. The numerous parking lots are made for tailgating which make for more of a friends and family gameday environment, a marked contrast to tourist trap districts (ahem, Ricketsville) that gouge you to the tune of $12 a beer. Rivals Dodger stadium and Fenway park as the experiences that best combine tradition with entertainment and modern amenities. Don't forget Elvis Night, featuring the pregame dropin of the Flying Elvis parachute team and a post-game concert from...
