Simply awful. Went with a buddy for $1 pizza and beer night. In the first full hour our server came to our table twice, causing us to miss placing another order for $1 pizza slices (it ends at 8pm). Then another server came to our table apologizing for the lack of attention to us, saying the other server "had a lot to tend to," (the place was no more than one-third full) and she would be helping us out. The quality of service legitimately did not change with two humans supposedly taking care of us. When we would order another beer, it would take truly 20 minutes for it to come. Tried being smart and ordered two at once each, and they brought one more instead of four. Then the house DJ started playing and it was terrible. WAY too loud, tasteless music that went old 4 years ago that no one ever really liked anyway. AND THEN my friend and I got moderated off their social media wall ("Tweet with these #hashtags get your face on this TV!" kind of thing) for posting honest feedback. I have so much more to say but I'm going to cut my rant short now. Avoid McGee's at all costs. There are plenty of other, much better bars just one or two stops north on...
Read moreHere's how my first and probably last visit to this place went down: I intended to try out a new place for a drink or two after work, before my grad class that evening. Since I'm not very interested in dropping a ton of money, I decided upon this place because I saw on their website that they have a happy hour Monday-Friday from 4-7pm, where well drinks are $2. This sounded like an amazing deal, so I walked in at 4:45pm and ordered a well whiskey and Coke. The drink was poured in a 12oz glass (it was that or a pint glass, and seeing as I wanted the deal, I figured the smaller of the two would be what's given for that price). I was pretty thirsty after a long day about to get longer, so I gulped the drink down quickly. This was especially easy because it did not taste strong. And the kicker was it cost me $7. Now I'll admit, I didn't ask the bartender about it; I just ordered two drinks and headed to class. But in leaving that place, I was not sure if it was the bartender who didn't know what the deal was, if I didn't understand the deal directly, or if I just...
Read moreMy wife and I came for the 25 cent wings we seen advertised on their website. Upon arriving, we discovered from the waitress that they had no food specials anymore. I was so hungry that I told her I didn't want to leave and that we would just pay regular price and have a few beers. After looking over the menu, we placed our order for hot wings, steak quesadillas, french fries and a side of coleslaw. After almost finishing my 1/4 slice of the quesadillas .... I discovered that it were it was made out of chicken instead of steak. I didn't even know the difference because I was so hungry until my wife ate hers. I was not happy about that. Secondly, the wings were not fresh. What I mean is that they been standing there ... preheated and then dipped in sauce. The only thing good were the fries. This is my first ever review on any restaurant I have ever been to. For this food and 2 beers at $46 - I really expected better. I called a few places before we hit this spot and didn't call here. I should of but, I gave them a chance. Will never let that...
