Well, well, well, ladies and gents! If you’re lookin’ for a place where the music dances and the drinks flow like a smooth melody, let me tell ya about the Redhead Piano Bar in Chicago – oh, what a joint! I strolled in there the other night, a little tipsy and a whole lotta ready to swing, and boy, did I hit the jackpot!
Now, the piano players – oh, honey, they’re not just tickling those ivories; they’re serenading the soul! I tell ya, one minute they’re playin’ a jazzy number that makes you wanna snap your fingers and sway, and the next, they’re belting out ballads that’d make even the toughest guy shed a tear. They’ve got more talent than a Vegas show, and trust me, I’ve seen my fair share of those!
And the staff, darling, let me tell ya – they’re sweeter than a cherry on top of a sundae! With smiles that could light up a smoky bar and charm that could woo the stars, they’ll have you feelin’ right at home. They’re quick with a drink and even quicker with a joke, makin’ sure you’re not just a customer, but part of the family!
Now, let’s take a little detour to the Cigar Den, shall we? Oh, what a cozy nook! Picture this: a plush chair, a fine cigar in hand, and the sound of piano magic wafting through the air. It’s like stepping into a scene from a classic film, where the night is young and the possibilities are endless. You just lean back, puff away, and let the music wrap around you like a warm hug.
So, if you’re in Chicago and in the mood for a night of laughter, music, and maybe a little romance, you better swing by the Redhead Piano Bar. It’s a real gem, baby – a place where the drinks are stiff, the tunes are sweet, and the memories are priceless. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I think I hear the piano callin’ my name! Cheers, my...
Read moreI would give this place the one star I did other than it was the only way I could figure out how to right a review. PLEASE LISTEN TO WHAT IM ABOUT TO DESCRIBE!!!!!!!! My girlfriend and I were sitting at the bar and this young guy sits next to her and asks if we are looking to have a good time. We both said no politely. As soon as someone on the other side of me got my attention the young guy showed my girlfriend a picture of a girl and said she wanted to have a fourway with us. My girl grabbed me and said let’s go outside as if she was frightened so without question I said ok. When we got outside she told me what he did so I went back to him and asked what did you show her and before he could say anything 3 large men were right behind me waiting. Thankfully I quickly realized something was not right with the situation and walked away to where my girlfriend was on the patio. In the 30 seconds it took me to go and confront him some other young guy sat down next to her. I asked her who he was and before she could answer he said he was keeping the seat warm. I immediately told her we needed to leave because something wasn’t right. As we walked out the 3 men confronted us while I was paying my bill and made it clear I was aware something wasn’t right loud enough for the bartender to hear and was going to pay my tab and leave. They backed away and we left without any issue. The way the guy approached my girlfriend and was so forward and how the guy approached her out side and the 3 guys inside immediately came behind me before anything was said was VERY concerning and can only imagine what the set up was. PLEASE take what I described seriously and pay attention if...
Read moreAfter a day of sightseeing, I wanted to get some drinks with my husband. We were staying on the Magnificent Mile and this place was close to our hotel, so decided to go before turning in for the night. We were greeted by a doorman that shined a flashlight on us up and down who did not let us in due to not meeting dress code. That part was embarrassing. I will give him this, at least he said it nice but I was surprised. I had on a sundress and my husband had on shorts and sneakers...typical summer attire when it's 90 degrees out. I saw no signs in reference to dress code, but did not fight this and moved on. I get ambience and wanting to create atmosphere, so this was the choice of this establishment. We packed nicer clothes but really didnt feel like going back and changing just for a few drinks. I came from an older generation where you dress to go out, but these days people really dont anymore. The art of dressing up, although appreciated, is somewhat a dying form with the new generation. Even at nicer restaurants on our trip, my cocktail dress and husbands dress shirt and tie attired seemed out of place on this trip (compared to other patrons at those places) so we were surprised we were denied at a piano bar for a few drinks. Let's do the math....average drink is about $20 in this area of Chicago. We would have each had 2 or 3...then the 20% tip on top of that. So low estimate of this place missing out on $100 for 2 drinks each with tip...just because my husband is in shorts and sneakers? That's fine. An upscale bar within walking distance to our hotel welcomed us in casual attire right away and gladly...
