I did not give the "food" any stars because I didn't get to eat anything. I waited for a whole five minutes at the register and was never helped. It was just before 3pm on a Friday, and I was the only one the entire time waiting to order just a burger and a shake, but no one bothered to come over to take my order. Out of the half dozen workers in the kitchen preparing food, I was acknowledged twice. Two people approached me at different times and asked me if I needed to place an order. After I replied that I did each time, the person just walked away. Their body language also suggested that they seemed confused and beyond belief that someone would actually walk up to the register to place an order, at a place of business. Then after none of the two workers came back, a third worker who was preparing food looked up and asked if I was being helped. I replied that I already told 2 workers that I needed to place an order but both walked away and did not return. The workers started looking around at each other looking confused, and I just told them not to worry anymore because I was taking my business elsewhere and would be leaving a negative review. I could find somewhere else to buy an overpriced burger and shake. What a waste of time, just trying to order a burger and shake at a place called "Shake Shack" and the process just wasted my time and was too complicated for anyone to even step up and take my order. Pathetic operation. Workers demonstrate no interest, no people / life skills, yet thinking they should be getting paid $15, $18, $25 dollars an hour?? Are you kidding me?? The workers in here aren't...

Had a chicken sandwich. Too expensive. Popeyes better. Never had a burger here, but will try it sometime (Update---My review stands, but I have to say how impressed I am with the response from Shake Shack corporate. Rarely does one get outreach on a review, but they went above and beyond in their concern. It's nice to feel heard. As stated, I plan on returning to try a burger.)

Update: I was contacted by corporate via email about my experience. The rep was very nice. I told her I was not wanting any coupon or discount, but that I was just interested in giving feedback, and that I was planning to return anyway to try the burger. Later, I received a discount code in my email, anyway, which, again, was very nice. Today I went to the store, which was busy, and the line moved very fast. It certainly exceeded my expectations. I placed my order, then showed them the discount code on my phone. They refused to honor it, telling me that I had to download the app, set up an account, order on the app, and then enter the code. Unfortunately, there was no way I had the time nor aptitude to do that, figuring that out would take me at least 20-30 minutes to figure it all out. I cancelled my order and went elsewhere. This time I don't think I'll be going back. Thanks for the offer, though. I'm going to have to lower my rating by one star due to all the...

Very convenient location in the Loop for a quick burger and fries! The location is gorgeous, as it's nested right in the beauty of the Chicago Athletic Association hotel building. The decor for the Shack is a lofty-retro feel and it's really cute! I ordered a ShackBurger single with a side of fries and a black and white shake. Burger was a medium-cooked patty, lettuce, tomato, "Shack sauce," on a bun. Wish the bun wasn't so average, as the contents were nice. Fries were done well, crispy and yummy! The black and white shake was okay, not worth being over five bucks though. Sad because the chain is named "Shake Shack" and probably wouldn't be in my top five spots around town to pick up a shake. Next time I'll probably try that ShackMeister Ale though, as it seemed the table next to mine had people who were really enjoying it. Service was what you would expect from such a chain where prices are a tad higher, but the place was packed and they probably felt rushed to make sure people got in and out efficiently. There are numerous burger joints in Chicago which offer much better burgers, fries, and/or shakes, but the super convenient location and food quality is enough to make me return from...

This Shake Shack in the Chicago Athletic Assoc offers all accessible kiosk order or order by app. I chose Seasonal S'Mores Shake with a flat top dog lettuce wrap and I passed on the dados like crispy onions, the place is jammed even at almost 2 pm but the order line moves quickly. As dine in today, I also grabbed some complimentary water and my own ketchup and mustard. No back ground music needed here this place is jammed and the patrons are buzzing with conversation which is amazing because I was too busy eating to talk. Great selection of burgers, chicken, chicken bites but I love a flat top Hot dog grilled to a sizzled crispy top Accessible entry with heavy door. Accessible venue with accessible order kiosk And pick up counter. Many tables are accessible with some booths and high top seating. Menus are posted on wall with white background and dark letters. Accessible mens and women's restrooms on floor with large elevator access. Restrooms have stalls all have 2 grab bars with 2ftx 3ft space .

I loved my experience here. It is located right next to Millinium Park and fantasticly easy to find. There menu is not incredibly extensive, but if you want a burger for a decent price that tastes delicious, this is the place to go. Some may compare it to steak'n'shake, but I say it is at least 4x better. The meat on the burgers is way more flavorful and the lettuce and tomato taste fresh. Their shakes are also awesome. They are very thicc and smooth and make for a perfect dessert. There was not really a wait time when I was here but It was difficult to find a seats for a group of six. The staff were all very nice and seemed happy to be there. Some even came out to check on us and take our trash. I would defiantly eat here again if given the opportunity.
