Let me start by saying dimend SCAASI (dS) is all around the best place to purchase diamond jewelry of any kind. PERIOD. They are empathetic, listen, have top of the line jewelry, are very patient, demonstrate excellent customer service, and are committed to giving the best value. WATCH ATTACHED VIDEO. I dated my fiancé for 9 years before I proposed. I proposed to her on my birthday with the promise ring that I gave her years ago. Once I felt I had a comfortable amount of money, I told my fiancé that it was time to get her the most beautiful ring. We were in the mall and looked around at every retail store. Everywhere we looked, we encountered NICE, but pushy salespeople. Nobody was KIND and truly delivered. I found a few diamonds that I thought were good enough. Nothing amazing, which disappointed me. I researched and came across r/diamonds on reddit. I learned a lot from here and pricescope. Knowledge is power and it shows in this business. I learned how diamonds are graded and that one can certainly sacrifice on a lower clarity grading to optimize carat/cut/color. The most important thing I learned is how to find affordable priced diamonds and cut. I found rarecarat.com mentioned in a few places and noticed the price was optimal and much more affordable. I figured there had to be a catch. Well, I found out there really is not and that people that sell only diamonds for a living are the ones to buy diamonds from. I was searching for ones near me and since I live by Chicago, I decided on dimend SCAASI. I realized the sheer number of diamonds to choose from here is massive and that is the best way to get the exact stone for the right price. I read some of the reviews on sites like google, yelp, etc. and they were all astounding. It almost looks fake, but it’s not. I feel like people should know about this, which is why I am taking the time to write my experience. I told Stephanie my preferences and gave her some of the diamonds I found. My biggest Cs were cut, carat and color. After I pestered her with questions like specific crown and pavilion angles etc., which she was more than kind about answering, we came down to a few ring designs. I went with my fiancé to see everything in person. We were astounded at the sparkle. These were some seriously well-cut diamonds that made Tiffany look dull. The cost was so affordable compared to other retail. I picked out a diamond that I wanted to keep on hold until the others came in. This is when my fiancé started really looking at aspects of rings she liked, and I knew I would not be satisfied giving her something that was not custom. I came up with the ring attached having 9 diamonds for the 9 years we dated. I also decided to keep searching for other diamonds to make sure I found the perfect one. We made another appointment and I fell in love with this one diamond. It was a 57 table, 35.5 CA and 40.6 PA. The fire and scintillation with this combination is breathtaking. To assure me I had the best, Stephanie even provided me with ASET scope images of all of them, which all were excellent. They sent CAD models and 3D wax models to confirm what I wanted. I wanted to “complete” the proposal on her birthday with this special ring. dS was closed on Friday/Saturday and my fiancés birthday was on Sunday. We had our food and cake tasting at our wedding venue Thursday and the ring wasn’t going to be finished until Thursday. I was so disappointed. They told me they can overnight it and I picked it up at my nearest fed ex location. When I opened the package, I was amazed with the box and presentation of everything. The ring was blindingly sparkly. The weight of the ring felt heavier than others, which I discovered was due to the high-quality construction with platinum. Other jewelers like James Allen I hear aerate their settings. I was so happy and so grateful I got to give my fiancé the ring of her dreams next to a frozen waterfall. I will forever buy all my diamond and custom jewelry only from dimend SCAASI.

I've done business with Isaac twice. The first time was ten years ago to buy an engagement diamond for my wife, who's something of a gem nerd. She wanted an oval stone, 2 carats with lots of scintillation. We had looked at 2 dozen stones before we reached out to Isaac. He said he could bring in some stones that met my wife's specs for us to examine. One was straight from the cutter in Antwerp, sourced from a mine in Mumbai. We were the first people to look at it (Isaac's contacts are that good). It was everything my wife wanted and we got it for a fair price. The second time was very recent. I wanted to buy my wife a diamond tennis bracelet for her birthday. I did a lot of research online and decided that instead of buying a "stock" bracelet, I wanted something custom: a 6.5" bracelet (instead of the standard 7" or 7.5"), 18K gold, three-prong style setting, and 8.5 total carats consisting of all .25 round, brilliant stones, all E color or better, all VS1 or better. And every stone had to have a GIA cert to verify the specs were met. This was a tall order since nobody provides certs for individual stones on a tennis bracelet. I got two quotes from online dealers who make custom designs, after several others said they could not get GIA certs for all stones in the bracelet. I decided to see Isaac and showed him the quotes. He pointed out that neither of quotes said anything about the quality of the cut, which meant I could end up with clean white stones that nonetheless were "dead" to the eye because the table was too small, the proportions and angles not symmetrical, or the polish subpar. Isaac said he would not only source all "triple X" stones, he would personally examine each one to make sure they "performed" to the eye. His price was only $3K more than the other quotes I received, but I knew I would get a higher quality piece. Well, I picked it up last week to give my wife and she was absolutely speechless. The bracelet is amazing! Stephanie nailed the design. The scintillation is so vivid you literally get stabs of light that almost hurt your eye when the bracelet flashes in the sun. My wife cannot stop looking at it! You cannot go wrong with Isaac; he is the consummate diamond professional and a very straightforward, trustworthy businessman. Highly recommend.

I cannot express how OBSESSED I am with my ring! I am an artist, and when my now fiance' brought me in to help design my ring with him, I was so excited! We worked with Erin Ford and she was beyond helpful and encouraging. I literally drew a picture and asked if she'd be able to make something like that happen, and I am blown away with how it came together. When we were picking our diamond, she wanted to make sure we found exactly what we wanted. One other place where we looked told us "this one is probably the best we'll find in your specs" but Erin and the Dimend SCAASI team wanted to help us to create the perfect ring! There were so many more details to consider than I thought there would be, and Erin helped us navigate the options to find the perfect design! It was so customizable, too, and when we got our CAD design and needed adjustments, the team was really eager to make everything perfect for us. There were a few moments in this part of the process where the adjustments made were not quite right and we had to go back and forth a few more times than I expected. But Stephanie and Erin were very on top of it and made sure the design team understood what we were looking for, and eventually we got the details exactly right! After I approved the wax mold, I was taken off all email contact so Greg could keep the final product a surprise until he proposed, and everyone at Dimend SCASSI was very understanding and accommodating. I am truly floored that this is my ring and I get to keep it forever! I love it so much, and I have a feeling we'll be back for wedding bands eventually!!

Since I can only leave one review, I have both my interactions with Isaac last year purchasing an engagement ring, and with Stephanie this year purchasing two wedding bands.

This review is a bit delayed but I wanted to express my thanks to Isaac here for helping me pick out an engagement ring last year. I came here on the recommendation of a friend. I had a general idea of what my girlfriend at the time wanted. I had gone to a couple of traditional style jewelers and they were unable to help me out with some of the more custom and non-traditional designs I was going for.

I scheduled an appointment and Isaac greeted me with a very friendly demeanor. We went over all the pertinent questions, budget, style, etc. We started with picking out a diamond, he very thoroughly explained all the various components to picking out a diamond. I explained what type of cut was wanted, he physically showed me many different versions of that cut, to give me an idea of all of the various intricacies. After I got an idea of color and clarity, we went through their online portal and narrowed it down. I was able to pick out one that fit exactly what I wanted.

We then discussed the band, I explained how I had trouble getting what my girlfriend had thought she wanted. Within seconds Isaac reassured me that it would be easy to incorporate.

Isaac made what seemed like a daunting task, fun, friendly, and easy to understand. The whole process was made so much easier having him to help me out. I would absolutely recommend Dimend SCAASI for any type of jewelry, traditional or non-traditional because of how Isaac and his team treated me, and I will be returning.

As a returning customer, having previously purchased an engagement ring last year. My fiancée and I scheduled an appointment to look at wedding bands. She already had a pretty good idea of what she wanted, whereas I had looked at a couple of stores on Michigan Ave. and hadn't yet found anything that I was really passionate about. Our appointment was with Stephanie, she greeted us and gave my fiancée an overview about what all they do. We started with her band, she explained what she wanted, and Stephanie sized her and provided her with several options. My fiancée was able to use a combination of the options and her own inspiration to get a band picked out very quickly.

My selection took a bit more time. I showed Stephanie several photos of things I liked, didn't like. She brought out and showed many different options. We mocked up a couple of ideas on the spot and decided it would take a bit more time to figure out. She said that even if we didn’t' have a perfect design that day, we'd work on it to make sure it was ready in time for the wedding. Over the next few weeks, Stephanie was very thorough in her communication about my custom made band, she would provide ideas, mockups, and take the feedback I provided her. I greatly appreciated her thoroughness and how creative she was with the design. Eventually we settled on a design concept that I was absolutely in love with.

The wedding bands arrived very quickly, we went and tried them on and loved them both. Stephanie's assistance and creative design were essential to this process and we're both very grateful for her help! As we were returning customers previously, we will continue to take our business to Dimend SCAASI because not only are they a great business to work with, but they're great...

You cannot go wrong with Isaac; he is the consummate diamond professional and a very straightforward, trustworthy businessman....
