3 stars: Safety 0/10 Read below for more information about positive and negative.

Positive: The ice rink is pretty good if you wanna take pictures in the city. The night is always so beautiful.

Take your ticket in advance it is important for you.

Negative: They do not provide a locker if you wanna put your bag for your skate (for skater it is a big bag) Last year skaters where able to skate in the middle to do figure but now everyone can go in the middle. I am not saying it is not normal, I am just saying about the security of your kids, we are paying attention but when you are spinning if a kid is running on us, we cannot stop instantly. The kids with the pingouin leaving their pingouin in the middle is dangerous too. they are not paying attention to people skating reverse to everyone which is very dangerous. If there is a sense to skate it is for your safety, going reverse to the sense is dangerous for all skaters.

I think it is very good for pictures and have fun but the security and safety is completely a 0/10.

Price: $20 for rental skate $0 if you bring...

Ice skating here at Millennium Park is amazing for me. I have my own skates, which makes it one of the only free therapeutic things I get to do in the city all winter long. Even though I've been coming here for many years, this was my first time coming on opening day and I was able to watch the professional skaters put on their show, as well as, I also had the pleasure of meeting Bozak(spelling?), a beautiful CPD horse, while on the ice during public skating!

I've always had anxiety about coming on opening day, however, this year I felt ready to go and I'm happy I did. Being able to interact with Bozak while on the ice was extremely therapeutic and much needed at that moment in time. I guess Bozak coming to the rescue was the Universe's way of letting me know I made good on my decision to go this year on...

During the winter season : Quite Frankly Zamboni ice resurfacing times are the quickest here then at Maggie Daley Park Ice Skating Rink. They do have penguins with handlebars available for rental for Children. They also have music playing thru the loud sound speaker system. The ice skating rink is free to enter, otherwise there is a fee if you need to rent ice skates. So bring your own skates. 😊 but weather you bring your own skates or rent them, advance reservations are required and are available two weeks in advance. Ice skating is open from Mid November thru Mid March and rink is also chilled so it keeps the rink open during warm weather during winter.

During the Summer months the space is turned into a Bar with tables and high...
