I recently decided I was going to propose to my girlfriend of 1.5 years on an urgent basis. Before I could do so, I needed to find a ring and beautiful diamond as fast as possible. After skirting around every jeweler north of Roosevelt, I had came to one serious conclusion. This was difficult. I needed to learn so much, find a jeweler and person that I trusted and believed in, and lastly found that right diamond.

My girlfriend and I were so lucky when we found Denise at Windy City. Immediately any questions or concerns about trust, company reputation, or if there was a better option out there were put to rest. While Denise was a diamond expert, she also was able to listen and understand what was important to us... 1. Timing and 2. Quality of Diamond. She didn't try and jam us full of the designs or diamonds she had, but rather guided us through the process, educated us, and listened to our feedback to cater to our needs. She was able to educate us on her process for making the ring so we could become a better customer also. I know that my fiance and I were blown away by her ability to turnaround a product quickly, and deliver on that promise. Excellent customer service experience. Working in sales for 10 years and my girlfriend also for 10 years, we know gimmicky sales pitches and can't stand high pressure sales tactics. Denise was the perfect fit for us, probably for you too.

Windy City Diamonds had 5 times the supply of diamonds compared to any other jeweler we went to, and their service ability and response time is second to none. Don't take my word for it, read the other reviews. We did and we ended our journey at Windy City and came away super impressed. I must also say that they were very competitively priced on high quality diamonds... We stepped up several levels in quality for a similar price to some boutique jewelers. The selection was exactly what we were looking for.

Kudos to this organization for employing quality and knowledgeable sales people. They make it a quality experience, and not a pressure...

I read so many glowing reviews of Windy City Diamonds, I found it hard to believe the hype...until I met Victor Gomez that is. I am compelled to join the very long list of fans. Let me explain.

My husband is absolutely averse to in person shopping. He bought me a very nice channel set solitaire from an online diamond seller. I wish now, that we had purchased from Windy City. Shortly before we married, he asked if I wanted the matching wedding ring (channel set) or a plain band. Any self respecting woman would speak right up for the diamonds. A couple of days before we ran off to California to elope the ring showed up. I didn't love it. It just didn't work. I called the online jeweler and they were very nice and were happy to let me return it. They didn't really want to create the custom eternity band I had my heart set on but said they would try but that it would be a non-returnable custom order. It just didn't sit well and they quoted a hefty price.

I made my husband a deal. I would find what I wanted and he wouldn't have to be present (I'm not totally nuts, I did let him pay). That's when I met Victor. I showed him the ring, told him what I didn't like and he was ever so patient. Victor made wonderful suggestions, gave me a price and did not push me to do anything right then and there.

I called Victor the next day and said, "let's do it". The result is absolutely stunning! Victor called to tell me it was ready and gave me the price which was exactly as he had originally estimated. I told him I was out of town. No worries. Today my ring arrived as promised and gorgeous.

I have another little project...a family diamond that I want to reset. Guess who I'll be calling? Victor get ready, we're going to create a pendant together.

As an aside, many years ago my now husband was in the market for an engagement ring. He had such terrible experiences with other nearby jewelers that he wanted to avoid Jeweler's Row like the plague. We now know there is one "gem" on Jeweler's row.

During my visit to Chicago for my wife’s big award ceremony a week ago; I decided to walk down the magnificent mile to find something memorable to give to her as a gift. I stopped at this beautiful shop called Windy City Diamonds just a few blocks away from the Millennium Park. I was greeted by Victor Gomez, one of their sales associates, with a warm cup of coffee. It was great because the temperature outside was around 10 degrees. I told him what I had in mind and what my budget was. He promptly started searching for the best gem. Not only that, he started asking questions to make sure he understood what I needed/wanted. He showed me several items and even though they were beautiful, none of them were what I was looking for. He did not give up there though and finally found two beautiful white gold diamond pendants placed in a 14K white gold chain I really liked. I could not decide which one to get. He knew I was having trouble deciding so he searched around and saw a nice lady that shared the same body and facial features as my wife, based on what I had told him during our search process, and asked her if she could wear the pendants so I could see them on an actual person. That did the trick. As soon as I saw the pendant on her neck I knew which one was the one my wife would love. I decided on the pendant with the princess cut, fitting for a princess. They wrapped the diamond and chain in a beautiful box with a lovely bow. Long story short, my beautiful wife loved the present! I received praise from all her co-workers whom where there to witness the award ceremony. I could not have done it if it wasn’t for Victor Gomez and the staff at Windy City Diamonds store.
