Ordering online is the only thing that went smoothly. It’s downhill from there after the staff had my money because the customer service at this Walnut Street Dominoes is actually DISservice, and I wouldn’t recommend ordering from this place and paying by credit card in advance, and especially for hotel situations like Motel 6. I’m stuck here alone at Motel 6 with 4 kids under the age of 8 years old for two months due to the fires, and with no car. I decided to order pizza and pasta online for the kids and due to my situation, I immediately also called this Walnut St. location and spoke with a human live, Eric, and kindly requested plates, napkins, and spoons or forks. On the phone, I was informed that they DO NOT provide plates, or napkins, but they will however be sure to provide forks for the multiple pasta bowls I ordered. I replied with a thank you, and explained my situation how I “need them”, it’s not just a want. Long story short, upon delivery, there were no forks for the multiple pasta bowls after I specifically called and kindly asked for at least that, and also being assured that I’d have them. I already paid in advance online by credit card, so I called the location back and asked about the missing forks. In the background, I could hear another staff member from a distance yelling, telling the person who answered the phone when he asked about my missing forks “it’s not mandatory that we provide forks!” “We don’t have to provide forks!”. I explained that I called in advance of delivery and kindly asked for forks for the multiple pasta bowls, and I was assured on the phone that I would indeed have forks. I can’t feed without forks. Another staff member confirmed my call. One staff member agreed over the phone to return and bring me forks at least and our call ended, but I’m writing this review because that arrival never happened. No one ever showed up, so apparently, it was only said to get me off the phone. The pasta spoiled on the Motel 6 table. Because I’m at the Motel 6, which doesn’t have a restaurant on the premises, I do not have access to forks, nor is there a refrigerator here in my room, which is why I called and have to be careful about what I order for the kids to eat. In the end, I see choosing Dominoes as a big mistake, especially this location. I lost my car in the fire, so I had no way of leaving the damn room in search of forks in the middle of the night, especially with 4 small children in tow. The pasta ended up spoiling on the desk in the room of the motel because it’s been sitting out all night due to no access to silverware. I usually order pizza from other restaurants, and this is the very first time I’ve experienced the response of no, we do not provide, plates, napkins, or cups, and then get hit with “forks are not mandatory”. If I had known that I wouldn’t get forks for the multiple pasta orders, I would have cancelled the pasta because there’s no way for my kids to eat it. Instead of me having that option, I was lied to about the pasta coming with forks. My kids can’t eat with their hands, especially in a time of Covid-19 and being stuck in a place like Motel 6. I just wish the staff had been honest with me upfront, or at least tried to correct the mistake. I now I lost money on the wasted food. I only ordered one pizza so it ended up not being enough food for my myself and kids, so I had to order more food elsewhere, courtesy of Dominoes on Walnut St. in Chico, CA. My experience was terrible, and I wouldn’t recommend paying in advance for food here online. At least if I had selected the cash option, I could have simply sent the pasta back and paid for the pizza, or had the option to kindly not accept the order at all. To make things even worst, no one even tried to help make the order right, and instead I was again lied to...
Read moreA true Chico local, and a heck of a nice guy recommended the Walnut location for Domino’s. We, of course, could not resist this weekend 50% off all pizzas. One thing for sure: not all Domino’s are equal in terms of service and quality. The ingredients may be the same but who makes the pizza, and what kind of attitude governs hers/his actions make a substantial difference. Not to say that management of a particular location is not vitally important. After all, what kind of pizza someone hungry can really expect from Domino’s? Well, today in Chico, CA, I got a thin crust Extravaganza, made to the highest standard Domino’s is possibly capable of, meaning ingredients dispersed in fair amount, that pleased us to no end. In some locations 50% off guarantees a let down, as if whoever is preparing the pizza decides to save the establishment some silly idea of money and penalizes the customer with below par finish because of the discount. Not today, we got a very decent one, better, in fact, than supposedly better rated pizzerias. At the end of the day a talented, willing to do a decent job, is all it takes to elevate a place. Take 50% off for a total of $11+. Nice job. 4 Stars ⭐️
8/1/2024 This is the story and I’m sticking to it. Call me naive, gullible, or any adjective I might deserve. I got an email from Domino’s CEO or someone high on the ladder. Telling me that in all the years of Domino’s existence, they never had a better pizza than their recent New York style pizza, how proud he is of this one, and invites me to see for myself at the discounted price of $11.99 for a large, 3 topping pizza. Yes, I know this email was sent to countless customers, and curiosity got me again, coming from a top honcho in the multimillion company. $26 later I open the boxes after picking them up. First Pepperoni, Sausage and Mushroom. Second Olives, Mushroom, Ham. Pizza was definitely no New York style, dough was thick, not thin and malleable, dry and simply said: a disaster. In other words I was lied to by a supposedly credible executive. This attests to the fact that this franchise set me and my family up.

Read moreWhat a horrible place!! They advertise low prices all the time, carry out & order on line for more deals, etc. So I try to order an online special for $19.99 + tax. It's supposed to include 2 med 2 topping pizzas, garlic bites, a dessert bread, & a 2 ltr soda. So I place the order online & I'm asked what dipping sauce I want for each bread & if we want parmesan &/or red pepper packets. I put 8 parmesan,(we like A lot), 1 ranch, 1 red sauce, & 2 icings, for 3 of us that are eating. When I go to check out, the order is over $48.00 & that's with the coupon applied. I notice the parmesan packets are being charged, so I take off all the parm packs, then I remove the icings, the red sauce, & a few toppings, but still it's at $40. I think this must be a mistake, so I call to ask them, but NOPE!! IT WAS NOT A MISTAKE! Apparently if you want them to put the toppings on, even the 2 included, it's a charge, if you want the pizza cooked it's an extra charge. Every sauce & the icing is about $1.50 or close, over a $1. Then every packet of parmesan, or anything else is an 85 cents charge. So by the time you're done with your basic order that the coupon said would be $19.99 + tax, it's almost doubled, & that's not including the almost $4 delivery fee, (which isn't counted as a tip either, just fyi)!! It's truly ridiculous!! Clearly they are desperate to stay afloat as it is, giving free pizzas to anyone who eats a pizza at all, whether it's bought at another pizza place or even a grocery store, so you'd think they'd be reasonable with their prices. That is a for sure way to lose a customer who used to like to eat the often, altho I hadn't in a little bit, I was trying to start again. Not now, now I won't be back...
