If I could give no stars I would. Right when I walked in, the female at the cash register had the rudest look, she definitely treated me differently than the other customers and I got a feeling it’s because I look white. Seeing how full her tip jar was, I’m very sure that’s exactly what it is. Being a Mexican and looking white, I’m used to it but this was the first from a restaurant. Get it together.
When I asked if they had whole pinto beans she gave me the dirtiest look and replied by saying she “didn’t know what pinto beans were.” And chuckled, as if I hadnt a clue as to what Mexican food is.. if it’s not her trying to make me feel dumb, how does she believe refried beans are made? I was so close to walking out but I wanted to try this place and didn’t want to let a little unhappy 16 year old girl ruin a potentially good place. But it was off to a horrible start. A good sign it’s not a good place to return seeing that they hire angry, discriminatory people. Not only was the service the worst I’ve ever experienced but the fact that I ordered a vegetarian burrito that consisted of absolutely nothing, but just tons of black beans and maybe 2 pieces of lettuce a couple chunks of tomatoes. For NINE dollars. $9. Absolutely insane. Such a...
Read moreI am super disappointed with this place. I come here every Sunday about the same time. 2 Sundays in a row now they can’t seem to make an order correctly. Last time I requested extra rice and was charged for it… got home with my meal to find less than normal rice. This time I requested #10 2 crispy tacos supreme meal as always. This time she hands me 2 tacos no rice no nothing I said I asked for a meal she then proceeded to tell me they only charge me for 2 chicken tacos.. then want to charge me for a side of rice and beans not charge me for a meal I asked for.. plus the .75 they add every time I use my card. Also the music is way too much. Way too loud for a seating area that can only hold 15 people at max. Super disappointing over the quality of...
Read moreWent for lunch with a group of coworkers. The location isn't my favorite. It is right next to the train tracks, but we didn't have much an issue with that. We had heard that the crispy tacos were good there, so that is what I had. Can confirm that the crispy tacos are worth the trip. Large tacos with lots of cheese and tasty insides. I had the carnitas which was good not great, but overall, I enjoyed. I enjoyed their chips as well. A little on the thick side, and crunchy....perfect for salsa. The interior of the restaurant is small, but quaint and well maintained. Only a handful of booths, but they also have a good sized patio that we chose to sit on. Will definitely be back to try more...
