Panama Bar Cafe — Restaurant in Chico

Friends and I went in this morning to try this place out. The restaurant was busy but not packed. About half the seats in the restaurant we're filled. We ordered and didn't get our food for over an hour after ordering. After it finally arrived some of our food was cold and my meal had some stuff overcooked food and undercooked, what a strange mix of both issues. We debated if waiting for them to correct our food was worth it and decided they had taken too much of our time already for terrible food. We paid our bill and walked out disgusted and feeling like we were robbed. If you want good food don't bother waisting both your time and money here. If you want ok drinks this place is fine I guess. Panama's has been a local gay hangout on Wednesday nights for some time now, a fact that isn't widely advertised. Around 9PM on Wednesdays, Gay, lesbian, bi, trans and other folks tend to wander in here for a couple of drinks and socializing. Most people tend to migrate to the back room (out of street view) for the live DJ and dancing, but a few of us are in the front room where you can have a decent conversation. The scene is pretty mixed, but tends to be predominated by the younger college crowd. The staff are friendly and get to know the locals and regulars and their drinks. The bartender was absolutely unprofessional. I went in to retrieve a phone that was left and I was on the phone with the phone owner and she repeatly told me that I was annoying her over just asking a few questions. Even though she knew the circumstances she told me to hang up my f-ing phone because "I was giving her a headache" I have never been there and will absolutely never return . And the staff there seemed to enjoy her rudeness and didn't do anything. She seemed to be high on something and very irritated over a phone that they told me to come get. It would of taken 5 minutes but instead I sat in my car for over an hour waiting for them to return it because "they had better things to do" ....
