Walked in, wrote name down with 2 parties ahead of us. Told it would be a 10-15 min wait. A few minutes later, a couple walks in who appears to know the workers of the restaurant. They ended up getting a table for 4+ that was being cleaned up for us and another group which made us have to wait even longer since our open. Finally we got seated 35 min later.
Then comes the ordering process. We have the menu of the day and see they have omakaze (100 each). We decide to go for it, the server says we get a free drink and is helping us choose a drink, then the owner comes and says they don't have any omakaze and if we want to order that, we would have to call ahead.... So why is it on the menu of the day -_-.
We ended up getting a boat, lost the free drink, had to wait 35 min cause people got special privelaged over us, and the food was mid.

Read moreFirst time eating here and we ordered take out! It was easy ordering online since we got to schedule pick up time. We ordered:
Sashimi Deluxe: so worth the $36 because you get 17 sashimi pieces including sweet shrimp, tuna/salmon belly. All which were sooo good and highest of quality! I highly recommend this if you’re wanting a good assortment of sashimi. Hamachi belly and Otoro: no words, it literally melts in your mouth. (No pic of the hamachi belly because we ate first… before the phone) Salmon Truffle Roll: I’m not a big roll person but this was so tasty! It was seared salmon topped with truffle oil, inside was cucumber and spicy salmon(?). I definitely recommend this!
They gave us so much ginger and wasabi and the packaging was excellent. We also received free miso soup and salad on the side which was nice of them! I would love to come back but dine in...
Read moreWe decided to finally give this place a try. To start off, their menu is huge - as in the font it big and the size of the booklet is the size of a enlarged children's book that a teacher might use to read to their class.
I got the chirashi bowl and Steve got the nigiri plate. The plates and bowls the food came out on was also huge. The slices of fish was big but the flavor of the fish on the nigiri plate was better than the chirashi bowl. The nigiri didn't have any wasabi between the fish and the rice and it tasted like you were eating rice and fish....not one cohesive item.
The service was a little slow. The sushi counter for the chefs is pretty small, there were 3 people working there but should only be one.
Overall, the food wasn't bad but it wouldn't be a place I'd go if I wanted...
