The food was overall good and hit the spot, they just opened this month so I understand they have some kinks to work out with the new restaurant.
I ordered the chicken tikka wrap California style, it was tasty and generously sized. Minor issue of having a greasy tortilla and having a lot of burned pieces and burned taste due to debris leftover on the grill. I still enjoyed it despite this, and would probably come back again.
To be honest, it’s a bad idea to have so many different items on the menu. No trustworthy Middle Eastern place should have gyro, Persian food, and afghan food and burgers in one menu… the best restaurants I’ve been to l— and not to mention, the ones that stay in business the longest—specialize in one thing they’re famous for. As much as I enjoyed the sauces and variety of flavors offered, as well as a westernized spin on Mid Eastern classic dishes, simplicity is best from a business standpoint and will greatly help the staff stay organized and give consistently good food in a timely manner with fewer recipes and inventory. The staff was scrambling and I heard shouting, they were out of stock on the self serve areas, and the customer service seemed strained due to stress. It was very popular and bustling. The food was out fast despite how many customers— I don’t think it’s a bad thing to make people wait a little longer in order for staff to catch up and do the necessary things to ensure quality. I personally don’t mind waiting, especially if it’s going to be good. My hope for this business is to take away half the tables or push most dining areas outside, because their kitchen is far too small to accommodate all their traffic and needs. More space for storage behind the counter would definitely help the appearance as well, instead of the boxes in the open. The mural is cool
UPDATED REVIEW** Steak tikka wrap was awful. Quality is all over the place, meat was dry af and huge pieces of grizzle every bite. Onions cut wildly different, some finely minced and huge pieces everywhere. This happened last time too but I gave it another chance. Will not...
Read moreI read someone's review from 9 mos ago saying the food was awful. That's why I like to judge for myself. The food is great! GREAT!!! It's freshly made, flavorful, & well presented (if you're in to that.) The staff are friendly, welcoming, & helpful. I was not a fan of the spicy lentil soup, but that's just because I'm a sissy when it comes to spicey. The sauces are excellent, too! Everything you need is within your own reach, minus cups (understandable.) I gave the atmosphere 4 stars because there's limited seating & metal chairs hurt me, so my friend & I took a booth. We would have taken the 2 person table, except they're right against the wall under the TV. Otherwise, we are going back, for sure, soon. So many other delicious looking things to try! My next will be the chicken curry rice platter! I...
Read moreOne of my favorite places to get food at! Prices are extremely reasonable (check their online ordering on their site for a surprise deal), and the food is always huge portions packed full of flavor. The new york garlic sauce goes great with everything, and they never skimp on anything either. The california kabob wrap uses a tortilla and is the size of a baby. I highly reccomend everything on the menu but my reccomendation is:
Online Rice Bowl special or California Kabob Wrap Gyro Meat Chicken Shwarma Steak
Additions: Add pickled red onion + Hummus (always made fresh btw!)
Sauce: Garlic + mango chipotle or Garlic mixed with Sumac chipotle
Overall you really cant miss with this food. It's always been consistent and it's always been good and that's something that makes me come...
