This was our first time here and most likely our last. I hope the owner reads this review because the restaurant is not bad and most of the staff were attentive and nice but unfortunately the cons outweighed the positive. Cons: (1)we were told the wait was 25 min and we ended up waiting an hour. I would rather them say " the wait is long, it will be about 45 min". (2) our waitress was passive aggressive for no reason (3) I ordered two dishes and our waitress I guess only heard one of my orders and when we asked her when the other dish was coming out, she just looked at me and said well I didn't hear your other order. She said it in a condescending way and didn't even apologize. (4) The restaurant gets very busy and packed and felt very chaotic and we felt very rushed to leave I didn't even finish my food I had to take it to go. (5) I'm not sure if they have AC or not but it was so hot and humid inside I was literally dripping sweat and fanning myself.
Positive: (1) they hand out some pan dulce while you are waiting to be seated. (2) They give you complimentary dessert after your meal (3) they came by often to make sure everything is good ( but I will say towards the end it just felt like I was being rushed out I didn't finish my food or dessert, we took it to go because the waitress was basically just hanging around waiting for us to leave) The food overall was okay, I liked mine and my husband said he didn't enjoy his but the desserts...

[Let's me break down the experience]
From the moment we checked in on a busy Saturday lunch, we were greeted with a smile, and complimentary café de olla. And the love didn't stop there. Once sat we immediately were handed little pastries stuffed with chocolate! Then the complimentary home made chips and fresh salsa! Trust me, all of this is fresh, not store bought.
DO NOT SKIP THE AGUA CHILLES!! i tried the one with the mango, pineapple, & Tamarindo! It was some of the best I've ever tried!
I noticed other folks had jamica & horchata in what looked like 40oz cups! Huge!
All of our dishes were so good! I loved the Norteño Chilaquiles, the fish taco was stuffed with fish, and the menudo was not only amazing, but the size portion was legit. The half portion was big!
I saw a neighboring table eating omelets, they also looked big, and delicious.
After everything, we were gifted 3 tiny desserts: tres leche, tiramisu, and a pastrie, all absolutely amazing.

Read moreI had an absolutely amazing experience at Desayunos del Preito today! I ordered the costillas en chile verde, and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the dish exceeded all my expectations. While there is a bit of a wait, I highly recommend being patient the food is definitely worth every minute. The quality and taste make the wait time completely worthwhile. The prices are very fair for the quality and portion sizes you receive. What really impressed me was that they provide a complimentary dessert after your meal such a thoughtful touch that shows they truly care about their customers' experience. The customer service is top notch. The staff is attentive, friendly, and goes above and beyond to ensure you have a wonderful dining experience. I would absolutely recommend Desayunos del Preito to anyone looking for delicious food, reasonable prices, and outstanding service. This restaurant has definitely earned a spot on my list...
