Absolutely the best dry rub ribs that I've found anywhere!
My mom and I love spending time exploring Findlay and finding new places to try. I'm always in the mood for BBQ, so this place sounded perfect for lunch. It was a Tuesday around noon and there was no line. But this is a small place and could fill up fast.
Having never been here, we definitely wanted to try more than one meat. They have a pretty limited menu and no combo platter. We decided to order two ribs (you can order 2, 4, 6, 8) as a platter (with two sides) and a pulled pork sandwich. We chose coleslaw and jalapeño cheddar grits as our sides.
Obviously, the ribs stole the show. They were the most tender dry rub ribs I've managed to find anywhere. They also had great flavor. I appreciated that they actually gave us three ribs instead of two because one of them was particularly small.
The slaw and grits were good. The pulled pork was fine. But I'd love to try either their turkey or rib tips on my next visit. Or just get an entire...
Read moreSadly, I have to say Eli's is highly overrated by the people of Cincinnati. Yes, it might be the best bbq in Cincy, but compared to the well-known bbq areas in the South, it's pretty mediocre. The ribs are okay, the pulled pork is okay.. But if you are going to Eli's do have the rib tips-- the bark on them is great! It's so disappointing when bbq places completely focus on their meats and neglect the sides. This has definitely happened with Eli's. The mac n cheese is honestly disgraceful.. The pasta is undercooked, the sauce cold and soupy, and the entire dish lacks any flavor. The teenage girls working the counter could do with smiling every once in a while. Although they may think it's not cool to be nice to people, they need to remember they are working in the service industry. As of now, ordering from those girls at the counter is in no way a nice experience and they really shouldn't be the initial representation of the restaurant if you want people...
Read moreJust had Eli's BBQ cater my wedding and OH MY GOD it was amazing! My friends and family raved about it all night long, it was a huge hit! We wanted to have a taste of Cincinnati for our wedding and we couldnt be happier with choosing Eli's. The staff was helpful, kind, and friendly. Seriously, Eli's, whoever you had work the Caponi wedding on 11/9/19, those guys deserve a raise. I fulfilled my childhood dream of ordering 44 pounds of Mac n Cheese for my wedding. This was one of the most affordable parts of our wedding. Eli's cost nearly HALF of other caterers. THEY LET YOU KEEP THE LEFTOVERS!!! ALL of my Tupperware is now full of pulled pork, mac n cheese, and mashed potatoes. I will probably be sick of pulled pork by the end of the week, but with BBQ this good I cant wait. Have Eli's cater your next event, or stop in to their Findlay Market location. You WILL NOT...
