Went to proud rooster many times during undergrad for breakfast and finally made it back a few years later. This will always be one of my favorite hidden gems in Clifton. You cannot beat the prices especially for the quality of food. This time I finally tried the fried chicken and it was so good! Hope to make it back again soon when I am in Cincinnati one time as this place is such a good eat. We came on Friday at noon, only to see a sign that they were closed, getting supplies closing time was posted at 1:00 PM. Came in the next day on a Saturday at noon: very busy with a closing time of 1:00 PM. We ordered the famous chicken dinners and were told there was no chicken available. Tried to order the steak burger, which is also on the menu. We were told that they didn't have that, either, just frozen hamburger patties. Apparently, only breakfast was being served. Me and my friend went to go get some lunch. We waited but the door for 10mins before we asked about being seated than was told to seat ourselves. After sitting for 27mins the waiter never even asked us of we waited something to drink. Than after Talking to a gentleman who was stated he had been waiting on his check to leave for 20 plus mins,another 15 mins had went by without one person asking if we wanted anything.
