The Härth Room — Restaurant in Cincinnati

Experience would have been perfect, but service was terrible. We were visiting Cincy and the hotel told us about Härth. We sat toward the front of the bar & nobody came to take our order after being there for about 10 minutes. My husband went to the bar & tried to order. We were told that a server would be around. Another 10 minutes & we didn’t even see a server milling around. We tried to order at the bar again & bartender said he’d bring the drinks. Finally got them after another 10 minutes. Not one time did a server come by in the hour we were there. Tried to order a second round at bar & we were told the same thing. Waited for a server, who never showed, so we closed our tab of 1 drink a piece after being there for over an hour. I had a coffee drink & it was delicious. The music & the vibe were great. I so wish the service would have been better or even a bit friendlier. I will go back when we visit again. I just hope they have more people working or a...

I stopped at this lounge / bar for cocktails with friends last night. I had never heard of it before but I'm glad that my friend suggested it. It is a very cozy comfortable place that carries the hearth and fireplace theme throughout. The decor is dark and warm like a library. There is no table service or wasn't last night and we had to order our drinks at the bar but service was prompt. I had ordered the Medicina cocktail. It did taste like medicine as the name suggested and was not to my liking. The bartender took it back, no problem, and mixed a different cocktail for me. The jazz music playing last night was very loud and we had to yell across the table to talk to each other. My husband ordered a bowl of pretzels and I was shocked that they charge $5 for pretzels that can be bought in bulk at the grocery for $2 a bag.Otherwise it was a very nice place and I would go again if the...

Great atmosphere if you like jazz. Still great atmosphere even if you don't like jazz. Crowd is generally diverse, young and old (25- 50) but more laid back and nicely dressed. The place is nicely decorated. Date night or a group, either will work great with this spot. The drinks are also reasonable. No cover but a two drink minimum which is not strictly enforced. They have to pay the musicians so I believe this is very reasonable.

My only complaint is parking. The meters by the lounge are always full so hard to find a spot close by because there is no parking garages very close.
