Stopped at this place with my Friend for lunch. I ordered the pork chops, which were good. Reason why I already have 2 stars. However, My friend ordered Pho. (Which he eats all the time where we live) when he took his FIRST and ONLY sip. He did not like it. He immediately told our sever, I do not like this, is it okay if I just order another order or SUMMER ROLES, Will it be okay to take the pho off the bill. Apparently the pho couldn’t be voided. It they could take $3 off. After speaking with the manager, they still wanted him to pay his whole bill for something he didn’t eat. After the manger decided okay, whatever I’ll take it off & don’t come back. Some guy comes from the back making a scene saying you have to pay or I’ll call the cops! Okay! Call the cops! We will sit here and wait.. you can’t make someone pay for something they did not eat. If you go into another restaurant, the manager will come out apologize, ask if there is something he/ she can do and gladly take it off the bill. Cops arrived, basically let us go WITHOUT having to pay for the pho. We paid for everything else but that. Not only did this situation happen, you read he ordered more summer roles and they can take the pho back. Well our server put spring rolls on my bill. Almost made me pay for something I did not order! My friend ordered summer roles! This was a horrible experience, definitely will not go again. So people be careful what you order, watch hour bill closely because regardless if you ordered it or not, they will still make you pay because “they can’t void.” I should also mention, there is a time and okay to play. There servers should be attending there guest, we shouldn’t have to call our server over to take our order when he seen we were sitting for a while. Instead he was playing and goofing around with the bartender. Another server which was a female was the one who kept helping us because he wasn’t doing his job. Philly pho restaurants will NEVER treat you how these managers did. They thought cops were going to help! lol “don’t run” was what the guy told us. Wow, I feel like he was throwing racial shots. You were the one who came out hollering at us, when we were speaking nicely trying to resolve the issue. If I can give zero stars...

I mean, their name gives it away, they are phenomenal or Pho Nomenal. No boasting on their part just accurate statements of how delicious the food is. We were finally able to get parking near here and check it out. We ordered one hot and one iced Vietnamese coffee. We also ordered the wings and they were delicious, I highly recommend them. The mix of flavors on these chicken wings are incomparable to anything else in the area. The skin was perfectly crisp and the inside was tender and juicy.

Ok, the pho, we both ordered the pho listed with ribeye and also opted add-ins of mixed vegetables and an egg. The egg is cracked in a small dish and brought out to you, it will cook up in your very hot soup so you can mix it in. If this doesn’t suit you, definitely don’t get it as an add-in, I didn’t really notice it once it mixed in so I could just have kept the beef and veggies. The soup is nice and flavorful, it’s not spicy, so it can be well suited for anyone. That being said, I love spice and can’t get enough. For those that love spice like I do, they include sriracha sauce at the table for a little kick. There’s also hoisin sauce (a sweet tangy bbq favor), and fish sauce which adds a nice savory (umami) flavor. Those sauces I great and yes, I used them all. I reached around to the other side to grab the little jar. I’m honestly not sure if it’s sambal olek or an in-house spicy sauce, but you can see all the seeds from the chilis in it and that’s where you can find a bit of spice. Try a little to see if you like it before adding a bunch to your soup. We can add more, we can’t subtract. I added a bunch and loved it, to each their own. Give this place a try, the food is great and it’s a comfortable relaxing restaurant.

The pho portions are massive, it worked out to be two meals in one for me, I love that! Also, I wanted to note the restrooms (at least the women’s) were clean and spacious, and accessible. The doors seemed larger to accommodate a wheelchair if needed, the also have grab rails nearby for accessibility, multiple hooks to hang your purse, coats, backpacks, or whatever, and they have a changing table. The restrooms are just in and to the left upon walking in, which also keeps them away from the main dining area, always...

The food is awful and the people is rude and disrespectful!!!! Never come to this place!!! I complained today to the New York State department of health!!! Today I went to this restaurant having lunch around 12pm. There were four of us. Two of us ordered the same pho special noodles and the other two ordered the spicy one. After the dinner, me and my friends all have a serious loose bowels. I went to the bathroom for about 10 times! And I really had a stomach. I wasn’t eat anything today and that’s my first meal. And all of us feels bad and had diarrhea. I went to this restaurant before and I noticed that there was some different taste than usual. The noodles were a little bit sour and I thought it it was not a big deal. I tried to contact the restaurant and ask about this thing. The woman was so rude and she really didn’t wanna talk about this. I asked what happened with the food today can you please check for the food? And she said: “ our food is good and we all eat them and we are fine. What do you want for me?” She even didn’t checked the food and she never apologized for this situation. I don’t want to be mean but me and my friends are all mad now. And we tried to call them but nothing changed. The waitress are always disrespectful, every time I walked into the restaurant, they never talk to me even I ask them for a table! They let me wait for a long time and they just laughed and talked with each other. The most Terrible restaurant I’ve ever seen !!! I really need an apology...

The restaurant is extremely clean. Other than the customers talking, there is no background noise so it was easy to hear the table conversation as if we were in our own dining room eating at home. I had the pork spring roll, which was crispy and definitely not oily. The pork flavor came through, but did not overpower the subtle of vegetable flavoring. The Thai tea was adequate, much better than a soda. The person was standing with had the chicken wings and Syd said they were very delicious. I had the Pho shrimp which is a large serving, so don’t order a lot of other things if you’re going to have the Pho. The shrimp had flavor, therefore it was not overcooked. The beef broth was flavorful and not salty. The fresh onions and a spicy oil rounded out to dish. There is an ample quantity of noodles. At the table next to the napkins are chopsticks, as well as Silverware that is sealed in a paper container like a straw. The waitress, whose first initial is K, checked back frequently to make sure that everything was to our expectations. The person I was standing with had a lemon grass hoagie with beef, a spicy level of one. After we’re done eating, they commented that they would like to come back sometime soon to have it again. Parking is around the corner. There’s zero step entrance. Lots of space between the Tables on the right side of the dining room and the staff area/counter on the left.

So pleasantly surpised. I love a place that puts the Vietnamese names for each dish first on a menu instead of the translated name, and a place that has the courage to not even list what's in the bun bo hue. But I also dislike a place that nickels and dimes you, as some other reviews have pointed out. They'll give you a tiny lime wedge on your basil and beansprout tray, and if you love limes as much as I do, don't bother paying the 50 cents for their extra two tiny dried out wedges of lime -- just bring your own. And of course, there's a 3% credit card fee, just know that coming in. The bun bo hue was so close for me. The broth was hearty and satisfying, the beef was actually left tai, the cha lua tasted fresh, the pork was tender, and the tendon had a great spring to it. The downsides are that there's no huyet, the tendon has a strong peppercorn aftertaste, and the bun is pretty thin. The banh mi ga had a great flavor, but there was a pool of the sate oil at the bottom of the tray and it just completely soaked the baguette--all that oil just made the bread soggy. What I had today was so close to being exceptional but they fall just a little short. I'm definitely coming back to try some more items-- this place isn't perfect but I felt good about spending my lunch here! $16 - bun bo hue $.50 - extra lime $8 - banh mi $5 - Thai iced tea
